【摘要】：伊恩·麦克尤恩(Ian Mc Ewan,1948-),作为英国当代文坛最出名的作家之一,其作品风格独特且主题多元化。由于他所关注的焦点多是阴暗主题以及人物之间扭曲变态的关系,因此也被冠以“恐怖伊恩”的称号。本文将从创伤的视角研究《水泥花园》中孩子们在面临“自我—他者”关系时做出的伦理选择。本论文分为五章:第一章,论文导论部分。简要介绍作家伊恩·麦克尤恩及所研究作品;国内外对相关作品的研究综述以及本论文的陈述。第二章,理论框架。系统介绍本论文所运用的创伤理论、他者伦理以及创伤与伦理的关系。第三章,具体探讨创伤在该文本中的体现。分别从创伤的发生、压抑以及强迫性重复三方面分析孩子们的创伤体验及创伤性应激障碍。第四章论述创伤中“自我—他者”的关系。在极端创伤下,杰克、汤姆和朱莉无法维持“自我”与“他者”的伦理关系,做出了非伦理的选择,否定了对“他者”的责任,从而造成伦理意识的混乱和伦理身份的错位,最终他们在创伤中建立“自我—他者”的非伦理关系,以悲剧结尾。然而,受创者苏通过与外界的人及信息的交流,履行对“他者”的责任,主动改变“自我—他者”的对立关系,从而重建内心的秩序,完成自我伦理身份的构建,确立“自我—他者”的伦理关系,走向未来的复原之路。综上所述,从创伤的角度分析受创主体在“自我—他者”关系中的选择,对于诉求伦理道德价值的回归,以及重建后现代工业文明社会的伦理秩序具有重要的现实意义。本论文作者相信,对他者的责任可以作为受创者重建人际关系和自我身份的基石,从而使得受创者走出创伤困境,面对未来的生活。
