进化心理学视角下的《美女与野兽》

【摘要】：《美女与野兽》是一部经典的儿童文学,它的男女主人公并不是传统童话中的王子和公主,而是丑陋的野兽和平凡的姑娘；他们的相爱也不像绝大多数的童话那样一见钟情,而是经过一段时间的相处才最终坠入爱河。他们的结合打破了传统“俊男美女”的模式,可谓是童话里的一个突破。几百年来,《美女与野兽》被译成多种文字在世界范围内广为传诵,甚至被改编成动画片或电影来展示它经久不衰的艺术魅力。进化心理学是是现代心理学原则和进化生物学的结合,它试图用进化的观点对人的心理的起源和本质以及一些社会现象进行深入的探讨和研究。《美女与野兽》突破传统的结合引起很多关于精神层面的关注和分析。本文以英国作家安德鲁·朗格的版本《美女与野兽》为文本,在进化心理学的基础上,通过对文本的细读和分析,挖掘美女和野兽从互不相识到爱上彼此的行为转变背后的心理转变。本文主要从三个方面分析《美女与野兽》中的心理机制。首先,人类最基本的欲望是生存。美女面对换取父亲性命和保存自己性命的情况下,心理机制完成了转变,外显出爱上野兽的行为。其次,男性的地位、声望以及社会支配对双方择偶起重要的影响作用。野兽的王子身份及其掌握的资源具有明显的择偶的优势,成为美女选择他的重要原因。最后,在社会生活中,人类男性和女性的择偶偏好经过漫长的自然进化过程都具有固定的模式,促使两性在选择伴侣的时候不自觉地依照某些标准去获得最优的结果,完成人类的进化。野兽和美女的择偶偏好以及他们自身条件与对方偏好的相互吻合,对他们的结合起了决定性作用。本文从当今心理学研究的新范式切入,追溯童话人物美女与野兽的结合的源头,从科学的角度去解读文学作品,证明主人公打破传统模式的结合并不是特例,而是由进化而来的心理机制导致的行为和人类文化的缩影,对进化心理学应用于解读文学作品和文化传播的共性起了一定的推动作用,同时也为跨学科理论应用于经典文学作品的研究提供了有效的例子。
[Abstract]:Beauty and the Beast is a classic children's literature in which the protagonists and heroines are not the princes and princesses of the traditional fairy tales, but the ugly beasts and the ordinary girls, and their love for each other is not as love at first sight as most fairy tales do. It takes a while to get along and finally fall in love. Their combination broke the traditional pattern of "handsome men and beautiful women", which is a breakthrough in fairy tales. For hundreds of years, Beauty and the Beast has been translated into many languages and widely read around the world, even adapted into cartoons or films to show its enduring artistic appeal. Evolutionary psychology is a combination of modern psychological principles and evolutionary biology. It attempts to explore and study the origin and essence of human psychology and some social phenomena from the viewpoint of evolution. The combination of Beauty and Beast Breaking tradition has aroused much concern and analysis on the spiritual level. This paper takes the British writer Andrew Langer's version Beauty and the Beast as the text, on the basis of evolutionary psychology, through the careful reading and analysis of the text. Excavate the psychological changes behind the transformation of beauty and beast from being strangers to falling in love with each other. This paper analyzes the psychological mechanism in Beauty and the Beast from three aspects. First of all, the most basic human desire is survival. Under the circumstances of exchanging father's life and saving her own life, beauty's psychological mechanism has been transformed, and her behavior of falling in love with wild animals is revealed. Secondly, male status, prestige and social domination play an important role in mate selection. The beast's status as prince and its resources have the obvious advantage of mate selection, and become the important reason for beauty to choose him. Finally, in social life, both men and women's preference for mate selection has a fixed pattern over a long natural evolutionary process, prompting both sexes to unconsciously reach the best results according to certain criteria when choosing a partner. Complete human evolution. The preference of wild animals and beautiful women and their own conditions coincide with each other's preferences, which play a decisive role in their combination. From the new paradigm of psychological research today, this paper traces the source of the combination of fairy-tale characters, beauty and beast, and interprets literary works from a scientific point of view. It proves that the protagonist breaking the combination of traditional models is not a special case. But the behavior caused by the psychological mechanism of evolution and the microcosm of human culture play a certain role in promoting the application of evolutionary psychology in interpreting the commonness of literary works and cultural communication. At the same time, it provides an effective example for the application of cross-disciplinary theory to the study of classical literature.
