论严歌苓小说的叙事伦理

【摘要】:被称为“翻手为苍凉,覆手为繁华”的严歌苓是华人文坛里独具个性又卓有成就的女作家。从1989年的成名作《雌性的草地》到2012年的《陆犯焉识》,十多年间她创作的小说数量颇多、题材丰富,特别是近几年来受到海内外研究者的关注。由于作家有着不同国家的生活阅历,同时又受到不同文化观念的熏陶,因此她的作品跨越了国界和文化等多重阻隔,从思想、社会、文化等方面表现出相当深刻的内涵。阅读她的大量作品后,笔者发现无论是“文革”、“移民”,还是其他题材,人性和生命感受往往是严歌苓小说的关注点,而这些又是现代小说叙事伦理所关涉的主要问题,因此,笔者拟用叙事伦理的批评方法去探究严歌苓小说叙事伦理的特征。 按照叙事伦理的两个层面,本篇论文分为绪论、正文、结语三个部分。绪论部分是对“叙事”、“伦理”、“叙事伦理”等概念的界定,笔者选取介绍中西方学者对“叙事伦理”这一概念的研究成果并简单梳理了严歌苓作品的研究现状。 正文部分根据“叙事伦理”的研究方法分为三章。第一章对严歌苓的小说创作历程进行简单概括,通过介绍她“移民前”中国的成长记忆和“移民后”美国的生活经历,探寻出其小说叙事伦理的转变。第二章从严歌苓小说的故事伦理层面,按照叙事伦理的精神内涵将其分为两节。第一节以人性为底蕴的“文革叙事”,选取《雌性的草地》、《白蛇》两部有关“文革”题材的作品为研究对象,说明严歌苓“文革叙事”的独特性——她以冷静、客观的态度面对人性中的善与恶,在向读者揭露人性邪恶的同时也展现出人性的希望,让人“忧伤而不绝望”。第二节个体生命的生存叙事,选取严歌苓近年来的创作文本《第九个寡妇》、《小姨多鹤》、《陆犯焉识》为研究对象,说明严歌苓的小说具有道德模糊性的特征,并且作家特别关注主人公个体的生命感受,她笔下的生命即使是充满苦难和艰辛,也总能保持着宽容仁爱之心默默承受起一切。第三章从严歌苓小说的叙述伦理层面展开,按照小说文本的叙事形式分为四节。第一节多重叙述视角的变换,第二节从个体生命感受出发的“去历史化”叙述,第三节双层时空叙事,第四节独特的叙述语言,通过以上四个方面对严歌苓小说在叙事形式上的探索进行分析,说明其小说的叙事形式为伦理指向提供了更有利的依据。 结语部分是对严歌苓小说叙事伦理独特价值的总结。整篇论文笔者以叙事伦理的两个层面作为切入点展开文本分析、阐释,既研究了严歌苓小说叙事伦理的精神内涵,又剖析了其中的美学特质与诗学方法,进而探究出严歌苓小说所呈现的叙事伦理特征。
[Abstract]:Known as "turning hands for desolation, hand for prosperity" Yan Geling is a unique and accomplished female writer in the Chinese literary world. From 1989 to 2012, she wrote a lot of novels, especially in recent years, she has attracted the attention of researchers at home and abroad. Because the writer has the experience of life in different countries and is influenced by different cultural concepts, her works transcend national boundaries and culture, and show profound connotation from the aspects of thought, society, culture and so on. After reading a large number of her works, the author finds that whether it is the Cultural Revolution, "immigrants" or other subjects, human nature and life feelings are often the focus of Yan Geling's novels, and these are the main issues involved in the narrative ethics of modern novels. Therefore, the author intends to explore the characteristics of narrative ethics in Yan Geling's novels with the critical method of narrative ethics. According to the two levels of narrative ethics, this paper is divided into three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction part is the definition of the concepts of "narrative", "ethics", "narrative ethics" and so on. The author introduces the research achievements of Chinese and western scholars on the concept of "narrative ethics" and briefly combs the research status of Yan Geling's works. The text is divided into three chapters according to the research methods of narrative Ethics. The first chapter makes a brief summary of Yan Geling's novel creation, through introducing her "before emigration" Chinese growth memory and "after emigration" American life experience, explore her novel narrative ethics change. The second chapter divides Yan Geling's novels into two sections according to the spiritual connotation of narrative ethics. In the first section, the narrative of the Cultural Revolution, which is based on human nature, selects "female grassland" and "White Snake" as the research object to illustrate the uniqueness of Yan Geling's "narrative of the Cultural Revolution"-she is calm. The objective attitude faces the good and evil in human nature, while exposing the evil of human nature to readers, it also shows the hope of human nature, which makes people "sad but not desperate". In the second section, the author chooses Yan Geling's works in recent years, such as "the Ninth Widow", "Little Aunt Duohe", "Lu Zhun Yan" as the object of study, which shows that Yan Geling's novels have the characteristics of moral fuzziness. And the writer pays special attention to the life feelings of the protagonist. Her life, even if it is full of suffering and hardship, can always keep the tolerant and benevolent heart and accept everything in silence. The third chapter starts from the narrative ethics level of Yan Geling's novels, and is divided into four sections according to the narrative form of the novel text. The first section is about the change of narrative angle of view, the second section is about "dehistorization" from the perspective of individual life, the third section is about double layer space and time narrative, and the fourth section is the unique narrative language. By analyzing the narrative form of Yan Geling's novels in the above four aspects, it is shown that the narrative form of Yan Geling's novels provides a more favorable basis for ethical direction. The conclusion is a summary of the unique value of narrative ethics in Yan Geling's novels. The author takes the two levels of narrative ethics as the breakthrough point of text analysis, explains, not only studies the spiritual connotation of narrative ethics in Yan Geling's novels, but also analyzes the aesthetic characteristics and poetic methods. Then explore the narrative ethical characteristics of Yan Geling's novels.
