从象征主义角度解读《雨王亨德森》中亨德森的精神旅程

【摘要】:作为诺贝尔文学奖的获得者索尔?贝娄被认为是20世纪最负盛名的作家之一。贝娄擅长描写现代社会人类的精神状态,刻画主人公复杂的心理世界,反映其对当时物质繁荣背后的人类精神状态的深刻理解。现代人进退维谷的生存困境在贝娄作品中得到了真实的体现。在1959年出版的《雨王亨德森》中,贝娄对现代人的精神危机更是进行了深刻的洞察。本文试图从象征主义角度分析“雨王”亨德森的精神旅程。通过对主人公亨德森的精神危机、精神转变及精神回归的象征主义解读,论文探讨了物质丰裕的现代社会下,亨德森的精神危机的表现,其进行非洲之行,寻求人生真实意义,获得人生启迪,实现精神重生的过程以及其启发读者不断探索人生价值的现实意义。本文共分为三部分:引言、正文和结语。第一部分为引言。主要介绍索尔?贝娄的生平、主要作品及其创作特点,介绍小说《雨王亨德森》的主题以及国内外对该小说的研究综述。正文部分包括四章。第一章介绍象征主义的起源,探讨象征主义和象征的概念和作用,并简要概述《雨王亨德森》中的象征事物的象征意义。第二章分别对“熊”、“猪”、“我要”以及“章鱼”等所象征的意义进行分析,探讨了亨德森精神危机的具体表现:精神孤独、精神空虚、精神混乱及害怕死亡。第三章具体分析亨德森的非洲之旅,通过对“阿那维部落”、“薇拉塔勒女王”、“阿那维人”、“瓦里里部落”、“达甫国王”、“祈雨仪式”和“狮子”等所代表的象征意义进行阐释,分析亨德森由精神觉醒到精神成长的精神转变。阿那维部落之行和瓦里里部落之行在亨德森的精神转变中起到了至关重要的作用。第四章对“她要!他要!他们要!”、“孩子”和“纽芬兰”等象征亨德森精神新生的象征物进行分析,指出亨德森领悟到人生的本质以及寻求到如何实现人生价值。此外,也使读者深入认识亨德森的非洲部落之行,不仅是一次旅行,更是探索人生真正意义的精神旅程。第三部分是结论。通过分析小说中的象征物及其所代表的意义,论文概括总结了亨德森的精神转变之旅。亨德森为了走出精神危机,深入非洲部落,展开精神旅程,获得了精神重生,寻求到了生活的真正意义。他的经历启发读者关注精神状态,不断探寻人生价值。
[Abstract]:As the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Saul? Bellow is regarded as one of the most famous writers in the 20 th century. Bellow is good at describing the spiritual state of modern society, depicting the complex psychological world of the protagonist and reflecting his profound understanding of the human spiritual state behind the material prosperity at that time. The dilemma of modern people's existence is reflected in Bellow's works. In Henderson the Rain King published in 1959, Bellow made a deep insight into the spiritual crisis of modern people. This paper attempts to analyze Henderson's spiritual journey from the perspective of symbolism. Based on the symbolic interpretation of Henderson's spiritual crisis, spiritual transformation and spiritual return, this paper discusses the manifestation of Henderson's spiritual crisis in a modern society with abundant material resources, and makes a trip to Africa to seek the true meaning of life. The process of realizing spiritual rebirth and the realistic significance of enlightening readers to explore the value of life. This article is divided into three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The first part is the introduction. Mainly about Saul? Bellow's life, his main works and his creative features, the theme of Henderson the Rain King, and a review of the research on the novel at home and abroad. The text includes four chapters. The first chapter introduces the origin of symbolism, discusses the concept and function of symbolism and symbolism, and briefly summarizes the symbolic significance of symbolism in Henderson the Rain King.
