《喜福会》中代际融合的顺应论研究

【摘要】：对东西方文化融合的探究一直以来都是无数专家学者的热门话题,然而,从顺应论的角度,结合文学作品分析跨文化融合的例子并不多见。因此,本文应用顺应论透过小说《喜福会》中的大量实例对文化融合进行细致的语用分析。小说《喜福会》中的中国移民母亲和美国生长的女儿两代人之间的融合暗含着两个不同世界,东西方文化的融合。小说的创作者,谭恩美曾被誉为语言魔术师。本研究主要有以下发现：第一,顺应论,作为一个新的、较系统的视角应用到文学欣赏的领域在理论上和实践上是可行的,透过大量的语料分析可得以验证。第二,人际间相互理解和沟通很重要。交际中在做出语言选择时,顺应对方的语言现实和语境客体如物理、社交、情感世界中诸因素,语内抑或语外的,有助于人际交往的成功。第三,小说中母女的相互的动态顺应和融合过程在深层意义上反映了东西方文化的互补融合不论从顺应理论上还是从实践上都是可以实现的。第四,多元文化下,中国英语是语言顺应的产物,应该而且可以有它的语言文化身份,这从小说中大量的语言顺应的实例如中国文字拼音、威氏拼音、英汉混合语等可以得到印证；也从另一侧面在理论上说明了任何语言欲标榜“世界语”推行霸权主义的梦想都是行不通的,即便是标准英语,跨文化交际中双方动态地顺应对方的语言现实便很好的证明了这一点。本文通过定性分析,将顺应论与文学解析和鉴赏结合起来。本文的研究有助于丰富顺应理论研究,同时也有助于拓宽文学鉴赏的视角；使得我们更好地理解小说的主题和欣赏小说的语言艺术。其次,该研究对我们的交际策略有一定的启示,对现实中人际交往有着实际指导意义；另外,研究中可知,英语变体是多元文化时代下语言顺应的产物,中国英语便是典型。同时,该研究也使得我们对多元文化融合的内涵有了新的认识。
[Abstract]:The exploration of the cultural integration between the East and the West has always been a hot topic for countless experts and scholars. However, from the perspective of adaptation theory, there are few examples of cross-cultural integration combined with literary works. Therefore, this paper makes a detailed pragmatic analysis of cultural integration through a large number of examples in the novel Joy Luck Club. The fusion between the mother of Chinese immigrants and the daughter of the United States in the novel Joy Luck Society implies the integration of two different worlds, Eastern and Western cultures. Amy Tan, the creator of the novel, was once known as a language magician. The main findings of this study are as follows: first, adaptation theory, as a new and systematic perspective, is feasible in theory and practice in the field of literary appreciation, which can be verified by a large number of corpus analysis. Second, mutual understanding and communication between people is very important. When making language choices in communication, adapting to each other's linguistic reality and contextual objects, such as physical, social, emotional factors, in-language or out-of-language, is conducive to the success of interpersonal communication. Thirdly, the dynamic adaptation and fusion process of mother and daughter in the novel reflects the complementary integration of eastern and western cultures in a deep sense, both in theory and in practice. Fourth, under multiculturalism, Chinese English is the product of linguistic adaptation, which should and can have its linguistic and cultural identity. This is from a large number of examples of linguistic adaptation in the novel, such as Chinese character pinyin, Weiss pinyin. The mixed language between English and Chinese can be confirmed. On the other hand, it also theoretically shows that any linguistic desire to flaunt "Esperanto" to promote hegemonism is not feasible, even in standard English. The dynamic adaptation of both sides to each other's linguistic reality in cross-cultural communication is a good proof of this. Through qualitative analysis, this paper combines adaptation theory with literary analysis and appreciation. The study of this paper is helpful to enrich the theoretical research of adaptation, but also to broaden the perspective of literary appreciation, so that we can better understand the theme of the novel and appreciate the language art of the novel. Secondly, this study has some implications for our communication strategies and has practical guiding significance for interpersonal communication in reality. In addition, it can be seen that English variants are the product of linguistic adaptation in the multicultural era, and Chinese English is typical. At the same time, this study also makes us have a new understanding of the connotation of multicultural integration.
