他者的悲剧—夏洛克、奥赛罗及卡力班悲剧的后殖民分析

全文意在论述欧洲主体的“他者”建构如何摧残人性和摧毁个人。莎士比亚三部戏剧《威尼斯商人》《奥赛罗》和《暴风雨》都反映了欧洲主体残忍对待其“他者”的主题。在这三部戏剧里,欧洲主体将夏洛克、奥赛罗和卡力班分别构建为“宗教他者”,“种族他者”和“被殖民他者”。本文围绕“他者”的中心概念,从后殖民理论的视角出发,分析夏洛克、奥赛罗、及卡力班的“他者”悲剧,探讨强势主体和弱势“他者”之间的殊死对抗,展示主体如何通过殖民话语构建“他者”,挖掘三个“他者”角色最终走向失败和灭亡的原因。通过分析欧洲主体和被压迫“他者”之间的关系,揭示了欧洲建构“他者”的目的及其悲剧后果。强势主体企图通过构建“他者”将自己对“他者”的剥削合理化,并证明自己的文化优越性和种族优越性。在主体的强势压迫下,弱势“他者”注定无法在争取权力的斗争中获胜,也无法实现掌握个人基本权利的愿望。论文的结论是夏洛克、奥赛罗及卡力班的悲剧是“他者”的悲剧,是欧洲强势主体把特定人群他者化不可避免的结局,而他者化则是一种反人文主义的恶劣行为。
