后殖民女性主义视野下的《女勇士》

汤亭亭[Maxine Hong Kingston 1940-]被认为是在欧洲、北美、澳洲三地拥有读者最多、入选文集及教材最多的当代美国作家。她的三部获奖小说《女勇士》（The Woman Warrior,1976）、《中国男人》（China Men,1980）和《孙行者》（Tripmaster Monkey,1987）已经成为美国文学的经典。这三部垂范之作,为一代美国亚裔作家开拓了文学创作的基本主题。而作为汤亭亭开山之作及成名作的《女勇士》更是被克林顿赞誉为“一部划时代的作品”。它不仅标志着华裔文学在美国主流文学史上占有一席之地的开始,更吹响了华裔女性作家用手中的笔向权威作斗争的号角。本文从美国历史上华人妇女形象常被扭曲和刻板化的情况出发,在对《女勇士》进行系统细致的文本分析的基础上,以女性形象为贯穿全文的线索,运用后殖民女性主义理论从《女勇士》中女性弱者的失语状态、女勇士对父权、夫权以及帝国主义文化霸权的反抗、女勇士的或死或生、死而后生的英雄形象三个方面揭示了《女勇士》的写作不仅没有沦为西方话语的同谋者,反而颠覆了西方中心主义统治下的东方主义话语,再现了中国女性英雄传统,为新时代女性...
