论《爱玛》中女性话语权的建构

简·奥斯汀是维多利亚时代英国著名女作家。她短暂的一生为后人留下了六部完整的小说,她的创作光环时至200多年后的今日在文学界仍旧闪烁光芒。2000年,BBC的“千年作家评选”活动中,奥斯汀紧随莎士比亚之后,名列第二,而且,她是前十位里唯一的女性作家。出版于1815年12月的小说《爱玛》被文学界认定为简·奥斯汀的最为成熟的一部作品,被珍·哈特誉为是简·奥斯汀创作力量和写作技法的巅峰之作。但是,《爱玛》出版之初受到了早期读者的冷遇,对于爱玛等不同于父权文学中所塑造的新女性形象更是频遭质疑。简·奥斯汀似乎预见到这种结果,声称:“我将创造一个除了我自己,没人会喜欢的女主人公”（ Austen, 1989: 187）。也正因此,“爱玛,无疑地成为了我们民族的遗产”（Tanner, 1986:176）。长久以来,父权文化深深地植入女性思想中,社会将女性置于相对于男性的“他者”之地,女性话语也就一直处于相对主流话语的边缘地位。因此,在这场与男性争取平等权的斗争中,女性话语权的争夺是至关重要的一步。那么,在《爱玛》中,简·奥斯汀是怎样解构男权至上的神话,建构女性话语权的?本文从时代背景,女性人物形象塑造...
