【摘要】：唐·德里罗名列当代美国四大文豪,其小说《坠落的人》被称为“9/11小说定义之作”,自2007年出版以来,备受文学界和评论界关注,评论褒贬不一。本论文拟从再现恐怖和创伤的角度,探讨德里罗如何通过文学叙事再现9/11历史事件。本论文以创伤、再现等相关论述为理论框架,运用文本分析的方法,分析探讨恐怖和创伤在小说中的具体再现、再现形式、再现目的和再现手段。由于恐怖呈现出空前性、世界性和心理性特征,德里罗没有直接描写再现9/11事件本身的恐怖,如飞机撞入纽约世贸大厦及其倒塌,而是通过描写受害者的反应再现事件的恐怖,而对恐怖分子的人性化的塑造则展现出德里罗对恐怖制造者的人道关怀。恐怖带来创伤,小说中对人物所受创伤的再现揭示了他对历史、记忆和身份的思考。小说所展现的反叙事、多维时空的叙事、碎片化的叙事形式和内容将照片、绘画与表演艺术结合在一起,使它们相得益彰,形成一种独特的9/11叙事,即谱写了一曲9/11历史的哀歌,又为后9/11时代人类的救赎提供了一个发人深省的文学文本。
