山西省中考英语阅读理解试题的内容效度研究

【摘要】:中考是一项规模极大的考试,参与人数众多,社会影响巨大。作为一种选拔性考试,它决定了考生是否能够进入高中学习以及能进入什么样的高中学习,对考生来说,影响巨大。因此,保证中考试题的质量,确保中考的科学与公平意义重大。就英语学科而言,在中考英语试题中,阅读理解测试占了很大的比例,对整个中考英语试题的质量有较大的影响。在试题质量的评估中,效度一直被认为是最重要的指标之一。因此,对中考英语阅读理解试题的效度进行研究具有重要的意义及较强的代表性。鉴于此,本文对山西省2011~2015年中考英语阅读理解试题的内容效度进行了研究。根据Bachman提出的语言使用任务特征框架,本文对内容效度的研究从三方面展开:文本输入、预期答题和输入与答题的关系。本论文的研究问题是:1.近五年山西省中考英语阅读理解试题在文本输入、预期答题和输入与答题的关系这三方面的内容效度如何?2.近五年山西省中考英语阅读理解试题的命题特点和趋势是什么?本研究在Bachman提出的语言使用任务特征框架的基础上,结合山西省中考英语阅读理解试题的特点,制订了针对山西省中考英语阅读理解试题的分析框架并利用该框架对近五年山西省中考英语阅读理解试题进行了数据统计与分析,随后将统计结果与英语课程标准和考试说明中对相关项目的要求做对比,对于在英语课程标准和考试说明中没有明确规定的项目,则参考已有研究结果进行对比,从而判断其内容效度。同时对这五年的中考英语阅读理解试题进行了历时研究,对其命题特点和趋势进行了分析总结。本研究得出了以下结论:1.近五年山西省中考英语阅读理解试题的内容效度不高,具体表现为以下三个方面:文本输入方面:话题的分布缺乏多样性,一些文章篇幅过长,生词率及类符形符比偏高;答题期望方面:考察具体信息的题目比例过高,个别题目设计缺乏逻辑,有些题目考察的并不是学生的阅读理解能力;输入与答题的关系方面:局部性试题的比例过大。2.山西省中考英语试题具有一些独特的特征:话题的选择十分贴近考生生活;文章的易读度较高,即文章的难度较低。3.山西省中考英语阅读理解试题呈现出以下趋势:除了2013年以外,近五年阅读理解(一)部分的文章平均长度明显增大;近两年文章的生词率大幅上升;从2014年开始,在阅读理解(二)中,越来越多的信息以图片的形式呈现,考察图片信息的题目数量也在增加;近五年,需要学生背景知识和能力的试题数量总体上在增加,尽管2015年略有下降。
[Abstract]:Secondary examination is a large-scale examination, the number of participants, social impact is enormous. As a kind of selective test, it determines whether the examinee can enter the high school and what kind of high school study, it has a great influence on the examinee. Therefore, it is of great significance to ensure the quality of the examination questions and ensure the science and fairness of the middle school examination. As far as English subjects are concerned, the reading comprehension test accounts for a large proportion of the middle school English test questions, which has a great influence on the quality of the English examination questions. Validity has always been regarded as one of the most important indicators in the evaluation of test quality. Therefore, it is of great significance and strong representativeness to study the validity of English reading comprehension test. In view of this, this paper studies the content validity of the English Reading comprehension Test in Shanxi Province from 2011 to 2015. According to the framework of language use task feature proposed by Bachman, the study of content validity is carried out from three aspects: text input, expected answer and the relationship between input and answer. The research problem of this thesis is 1: 1. In the last five years, the content validity of the reading comprehension test of Shanxi junior high school students in the three aspects of text input, expected answer and the relationship between the input and the answer question is discussed. In the last five years, what are the propositional characteristics and trends of the English reading comprehension test in the middle school of Shanxi Province? Based on the framework of language use task feature proposed by Bachman, this study combines the characteristics of reading comprehension test of Shanxi junior high school English test. In this paper, the analysis frame of English reading comprehension test for middle school students in Shanxi Province is established, and the data statistics and analysis of English reading comprehension test questions in Shanxi middle school entrance examination in recent five years are carried out by using this framework. Then the statistical results are compared with the requirements of the relevant items in the English curriculum standards and the test notes, and for those items that are not clearly specified in the English curriculum standards and the test instructions, the results are compared with the existing research results. So as to judge its content validity. At the same time, this paper makes a diachronic study on the five-year English reading comprehension questions, and analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and trends of their propositions. This study draws the following conclusion: 1. In the last five years, the content validity of English reading comprehension test in middle school in Shanxi Province is not high, which is manifested in the following three aspects: text input: lack of diversity in the distribution of topics, excessive length of some articles, high rate of new words and high ratio of character to form; The expectation of answering questions: the proportion of specific information is too high, the design of individual questions lacks logic, some of the questions are not the students' reading comprehension; the relation between input and answer: the proportion of partial questions is too large. 2. There are some unique features in the English test of Shanxi Province: the choice of topic is very close to the life of the examinee, and the readability of the article is relatively high, that is, the difficulty of the article is lower. 3. There are the following trends in the English reading comprehension test of Shanxi junior high school students: except for 2013, the average length of reading comprehension (1) in the last five years has increased significantly; the rate of new words in the last two years has increased dramatically; and since 2014, In reading comprehension (2), more and more information is presented in the form of pictures, and the number of topics to examine picture information is also increasing. In the last five years, the number of test questions that require students' background knowledge and ability has generally increased. Although there was a slight decline in 2015.
