通过词块教学提高初中生英语写作能力的行动研究

  英语写作教学的最终目的是提高学生的英语写作能力,使学生达到相应等级的英语写作标准。然而,笔者发现英语写作是学生英语学习的薄弱环节,学生未能达到所要求的英语写作标准,存在按中文语序逐字翻译、词汇贫乏、缺乏衔接与连贯等写作问题。根据前期问卷调查结果,笔者确认学生的英语写作难点集中在词汇和语法上。词块是固定或半固定化的结构,介于传统的语法和词汇之间,无需经过语法生成和分析即能整体储存和提取,具有减轻大脑语言编码的压力,是理想的语言教学单位。理论上,词块所具有的优势正好有利于学生克服写作难点,因此笔者以广州市花都区镜湖学校初一(1)班41名学生为研究对象,开展了为期4个月的运用词块教学提高初中生英语写作能力的行动研究,并回答以下两个研究问题:(1)如何实施词块教学解决初中生英语写作问题?(2)词块教学在提高初中生英语写作能力上效果如何?本行动研究遵循“计划-行动-观察-反思”的模式开展两轮词块教学行动。在第一轮行动中,学生在英语阅读课的第二课时对词块进行输入、记忆和内化,在英语写作课上输出词块。笔者利用英语写作中测、访谈、教学日志的方式收集数据,以检验第一轮行动实施效果。第二轮基于第一轮的反思...
