《西游记》故事在美国的传播与接受——基于对《纽约时报》猴王故事报道的分析

【摘要】：本文通过检索《纽约时报》从1930年到2015年的86年间对《西游记》故事的报道,以传播学理论为视角,从报道数量、传播者身份、传播内容等三个方面进行分析,再现该世界主流媒体在西游故事在英语世界的传播中所发挥的重要作用。研究表明,该媒体在传播内容上从侧重译本的评介、猴王在异国文学中的变异,到猴王故事其它艺术形式再现的过程,为美国受众提供了对西游故事的不同认知方式。考察猴王故事在《纽约时报》不同时期报道内容的差异,为中国经典文学外传和域外的接受提供了一定的参照价值,客观上为"中国文化走出去"战略起到一定的借鉴意义和参考作用。
[Abstract]:By searching for the story of the Journey to the West from 1930 to 2015, this paper looks at the number of reports and the identity of the communicator from the perspective of the theory of communication. This paper analyzes the three aspects of communication content and reproduces the important role played by the world mainstream media in the communication of western-traveling stories in the English-speaking world. The study shows that the media focus on the evaluation of the translation in the content of communication. The variation of Monkey King in foreign literature, to the process of reappearance of other art forms of Monkey King's story. It provides the American audience with different cognitive styles on the story of the Western Tour. It examines the differences in the content of the Monkey King story reported at different times in the New York Times. It provides a certain reference value for the foreign biography and the overseas acceptance of Chinese classical literature, and objectively plays a certain reference significance and reference role for the strategy of "Chinese culture going out".
