中西叙事传统融汇视野下的茅盾长篇小说创作

【摘要】:茅盾是中国现代文学史上著名的作家、文学评论家、文化活动家以及社会活动家,我国革命文艺奠基人之一。他是中国现代文学的巨匠,在文学创作上建树颇丰。作为五四新文学的领军人物,茅盾不仅在文艺理论和文学批评上做出了卓越的贡献,通过大量的文学批评和观点表达了自身对创作的理解,从中显现作者创作态度的不断演进。同时,作为“三十年代文学”的代表,在中西文学思潮交流碰撞的时代,茅盾通过大量的长篇小说创作实践,丰富了自身的现实主义理论,成功开创了茅盾小说创作范式。茅盾的文学价值不仅仅体现在其自身文学批评与文学创作的成就上,更深刻体现在他有资格代表了中国新文学的一种传统,这种传统作为“范式”被后世所继承和发扬。这在他融汇中西方文学叙事传统,创作出大量具有代表性、影响力的中长篇小说中得以充分展现。对于茅盾小说,各时期的研究成果颇丰。目前的研究大多数集中于作品的人物及作品所传达的思想意义等方面,关于茅盾小说的社会功能以及其与西方小说的关联方面,论述已经相当丰富。这些成果一般认为茅盾小说是与当时的社会现实一一对应的镜像式反映,茅盾文学价值的体现,就在于这些镜像。而针对茅盾在特殊的时代背景下,面对中西方文学传统的交汇,做出的取舍、吸纳与创新,从而成功开创了“茅盾传统”范式,则更应为当下开启我们思维的向度,在深入理解茅盾小说审美范式的同时,提供给当代文学一种回归精神和难能可贵的召唤。本文以叙事学角度入手,以中国现代文学思潮发展流变为背景,以茅盾长篇小说创作的叙事模式分析为线索,着重从中西文学叙事传统融汇的视野对茅盾长篇小说创作进行分析,力求厘清茅盾文学作品蕴含的范式传统和他在中国文学史上具有的独特价值。全文共分为五个部分。第一部分,探讨茅盾对中西方叙事传统的接受。在梳理茅盾与中国叙事传统、茅盾与西方叙事传统关联的基础上,着力分析阐释茅盾的现实主义理论及他对中西叙事传统的理论总结;第二至第四部分,从茅盾长篇小说创作的叙事内容、叙事视角、叙事时间三方面入手,以长篇小说文本为例,具体分析其小说创作所受中西叙事传统的影响;第五部分,对茅盾代表作《子夜》进行分析。运用比较分析的方法,分别探讨中国传统小说叙事模式与俄国批判现实主义小说叙事模式在《子夜》这部作品中的交流汇融。以期证明茅盾作为领军人物为中国新文学发展做出的不可磨灭的贡献和深入挖掘茅盾长篇小说蕴含的独特历史价值和现实价值。
[Abstract]:Mao Dun is a famous writer, literary critic, cultural activist and social activist in the history of modern Chinese literature. He is one of the founders of Chinese revolutionary literature and art. As the leader of May 4th New Literature Mao Dun not only made outstanding contributions in literary theory and literary criticism. Through a large number of literary criticism and views to express their own understanding of the creation, from which the continuous evolution of the author's creative attitude. At the same time, as the representative of "30s Literature". In the era of communication between Chinese and Western literary thoughts, Mao Dun enriched his realism theory through a large number of novel creation practices. Mao Dun's literary value is reflected not only in his own literary criticism and achievements, but also in his qualifications to represent a tradition of Chinese new literature. This tradition is inherited and carried forward by later generations as a "paradigm", which is fully displayed in his novels which are representative and influential in his fusion of Chinese and Western literary narrative traditions. Most of the current studies focus on the characters of the works and the ideological meaning conveyed by the works, on the social function of Mao Dun's novels and their connection with Western novels. These achievements generally think that Mao Dun's novels are mirror reflection corresponding to the social reality of that time, and the embodiment of Mao Dun's literary value. It lies in these mirror images. Under the special background of the times, Mao Dun has successfully created the paradigm of "Mao Dun tradition" in the face of the intersection of Chinese and western literary traditions and the trade-offs, absorption and innovation. It should open up the direction of our thinking, while deeply understanding the aesthetic paradigm of Mao Dun's novels, and provide a kind of return spirit and valuable call to contemporary literature. This article starts from the perspective of narratology. Under the background of the development of the trend of thought in modern Chinese literature and the analysis of the narrative mode of Mao Dun's novel creation, this paper focuses on the analysis of Mao Dun's novel creation from the perspective of the fusion of Chinese and Western literary narrative traditions. The thesis tries to clarify the paradigm tradition contained in Mao Dun's literary works and his unique value in the history of Chinese literature. The full text is divided into five parts. The first part. On the basis of combing Mao Dun and Chinese narrative tradition, Mao Dun and western narrative tradition are related. To analyze and explain Mao Dun's realistic theory and his theoretical summary of Chinese and Western narrative tradition; The second to 4th parts, starting with the narrative content, narrative angle and narrative time of Mao Dun's novel creation, taking the novel text as an example, analyzes concretely the influence of Chinese and Western narrative tradition on his novel creation; Part 5th, the representative work of Mao Dun "Midnight" is analyzed. The method of comparative analysis is used. This paper probes into the communication between the narrative mode of Chinese traditional novel and the narrative mode of Russian critical realism novel in Midnight, in order to prove that Mao Dun, as a leading figure, can not do anything for the development of Chinese new literature. The indelible contribution and the deep excavation Mao Dun's novel contains the unique historical value and the realistic value.
