五四时期女性期刊小说研究

【摘要】：一直以来,学界对“五四”时期期刊小说的研究重点多集中于《小说月报》、《小说大观》等刊物上,以女性期刊为原始文本,对其刊载小说进行分析的研究活动并不多见。由于在《新青年》的引领下,一批提倡民主、科学,反对旧文学和封建制度的先进知识分子纷纷投身到创办报刊的事业中来。在此环境中,宣传妇女解放、维护妇女权益、反映和指导妇女生活的女性期刊也迎来了历史上的新高峰。该时期的妇女刊物,无论是栏目的设置还是刊载内容上都着重探讨女性解放的途径,具有极为鲜明的历史意义和时代特征。由于域外小说的启迪,妇女解放运动的开展以及印刷业的兴盛,促进了“五四”时期女性期刊的迅速发展,期刊小说在得到发展的同时也带有一定的局限性。与此同时,报刊杂志在促进域外翻译小说的传播与输出上,也起到了至关重要的作用。“五四”时期女性期刊所刊载的域外翻译小说,无论从数量还是内容上来看,都紧随着时代脚步且具有鲜明的历史特征。作为主要面向女性读者,并专注于解决与探讨女性问题的刊物,女性期刊无论从文章创作者、刊载作品的主题或典型女性形象的塑造上,都展露出了极强的性别特征。女性创作小说在当时已成为一种风气,无论是接受西方教育还是中式传统教育的女性都纷纷加入到期刊小说创作的队伍中来。小说的创作主题也大致分为“坚守传统”与“弘扬女权”两大阵营。“五四”时期,由于社会上下皆在倡导个性解放、婚恋自由、男女平等,在此情况下文学作品里的女子形象也从传统的“大家闺秀”、“小家碧玉”转为了勇敢坚毅、能够独立思考的进步新女性,因此女性期刊中刊载小说也透过这些典型形象来反映出当时女性的各异角色追求。该时期的女性期刊不仅对中国期刊的现代化进程起到积极地推动作用,且对研究女性文学及女性解放的进程而言具有深刻的历史意义。
[Abstract]:For a long time, the academic research on the periodical novels during the May 4th period has focused on the publications such as the monthly Fiction, the Grand View of Fiction, and so on. The study on the analysis of the novels published by the female periodicals is rare, taking the female periodicals as the original texts. Under the guidance of "New Youth", a group of advanced intellectuals who advocated democracy, science, and opposed to the old literature and feudal system threw themselves into the cause of establishing newspapers and periodicals one after another. In this environment, women's periodicals, which propagandize women's liberation, safeguard women's rights and interests, reflect and guide women's life, have also ushered in a new peak in history. The women's publications of this period, whether in the setting up of columns or in the contents of the publication, all focus on the ways of women's liberation, which has very clear historical significance and characteristics of the times. Because of the enlightenment of the foreign novels, the development of the women's liberation movement and the prosperity of the printing industry, it promoted the rapid development of the female periodicals during the May 4th Movement. At the same time, newspapers and magazines also play a vital role in promoting the dissemination and export of translated novels. In terms of quantity and content, the foreign translated novels published in the women's periodicals during the May 4th period are closely following the steps of the times and have distinct historical characteristics. As a publication mainly for female readers and focusing on solving and discussing women's problems, women's periodicals show strong gender characteristics in terms of the author of articles, the themes of published works or the shaping of typical female images. At that time, female novels had become a kind of custom, both western education and Chinese traditional education women have joined the ranks of periodical novel creation. The theme of the novel is divided into two camps: stick to tradition and carry forward women's rights. During the "May 4th Movement" period, because the whole society was advocating personality liberation, freedom of marriage and equality between men and women, the images of women in literary works also changed from the traditional "family girls" and "little Jasper" to brave and resolute. Progressive new women who can think independently, so the novels published in women's periodicals also reflect the different roles of women through these typical images. The female periodicals of this period not only play a positive role in promoting the modernization of Chinese periodicals, but also have profound historical significance for the study of women's literature and the process of women's liberation.
