高中英语阅读教学中培养学生批判性思维的实验研究

【摘要】:本研究以批判性思维理论为基础,通过教学实验,研究了批判性思维培养与高中英语阅读教学相结合的实例及效果,本研究的目的在于在高中的英语阅读教学中开展批判性阅读,训练学生的批判性思维,并检验其是否有利于学生批判性思维的发展。笔者在十年英语教学过程中,发现目前的阅读教学存在较为严重的问题:师生过分注重阅读文本中英语知识点的掌握,对文本仅限于表层内容的理解,忽视对其深层内涵的挖掘。教师控制了课堂教学活动,学生很难有机会对学习内容进行质疑和批判。高中教学中批判性思维培养的严重滞后,造成学生的批判性思维缺乏,对教育的负面影响日益凸显,在高中英语阅读教学中发展学生的批判性思维己成为一个非常重要的问题,应该得到足够的重视。当前的英语阅读教学己不能仅仅满足于教会学生对文本表层含义和知识点的理解,更重要的是要训练学生质疑、预测、分析、推理、总结、判断等批判性思维技能,引导学生学会独立思考、自主学习、探究创新;使其学会欣赏语言美,关注文本结构、背景、作者的写作意图等深层次的内涵,最终达到批判性思维培养的目的。本文选取福州延安中学的高一学生为实验对象,进行批判性思维调查,了解本校高一学生批判性思维的整体情况。然后,在学年初对执教的两个班级进行问卷调查,掌握实验组与对照组的批判性思维现状,开展为期一个学年的实验教学,在实验组进行英语阅读教学的同时注重批判性思维训练;在对照组仅进行传统的阅读教学,不涉及批判性思维训练;学年结束后再进行问卷调查,分析对比实验前后的数据,判定实验效果。本研究发现:为期一学年的实验后,在批判性思维的发展程度方面,实验组要明显优于对照组。高中英语阅读教学中注重批判性思维的培养,可以促进学生深入理解文本的内涵,更加全面且准确掌握文本的实质,学会用批判的眼光对待问题处理问题,进而养成良好的批判性思维品质,具有重要现实的意义。
[Abstract]:Based on the theory of critical thinking, this study studies the examples and effects of combining the cultivation of critical thinking with the teaching of English reading in senior high school through teaching experiments. The purpose of this study is to develop critical reading in high school English reading teaching, to train students' critical thinking, and to test whether it is beneficial to the development of students' critical thinking. In the course of ten years' English teaching, the author finds that there are serious problems in reading teaching at present: teachers and students pay too much attention to the mastery of English knowledge points in the reading text, and the understanding of the text is limited to the surface content. Neglecting the excavation of its deep connotation. Teachers control classroom teaching activities, students have little chance to question and criticize the learning content. The serious lag in the cultivation of critical thinking in senior high school teaching results in the lack of critical thinking of students and the increasingly negative impact on education. The current teaching of English reading is not only to teach students to understand the surface meaning and knowledge of the text, but also to train students' critical thinking skills, such as questioning, forecasting, analyzing, reasoning, summing up, judging and so on. To guide students to learn to think independently, to study independently, to explore and innovate, to make them appreciate the beauty of language, to pay attention to the structure of the text, the background and the author's writing intention, so as to achieve the goal of cultivating critical thinking. This paper selects the first year students of Fuzhou Yan'an Middle School as the experimental object, carries on the critical thinking investigation, understands the overall situation of the high school students' critical thinking. Then, at the beginning of the school year, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the two classes in teaching, grasped the current situation of critical thinking in the experimental group and the control group, and carried out experimental teaching for one academic year. In the experimental group, we should pay attention to the training of critical thinking while teaching English reading; in the control group, we only carry out the traditional reading teaching, not involving the training of critical thinking; after the end of the school year, we conduct a questionnaire survey to analyze and compare the data before and after the experiment. To judge the effect of experiment. This study found that the experimental group was superior to the control group in the development of critical thinking after one year's experiment. Paying attention to the cultivation of critical thinking in English reading teaching in senior high school can promote students to understand the connotation of the text, grasp the essence of the text more comprehensively and accurately, and learn to deal with problems with critical eyes. It is of great practical significance to develop good critical thinking quality.
