【摘要】：蔡元培时期北京大学治理并非一劳永逸,"教授治校"产生于西方大学土壤之中,在移植到中国大学后不时陷入困局。在校务管理和决策中,北京大学教授群体基于不同的立场,多有分歧和纷争。"新旧之争"蕴含新人与旧人、新文化与旧文化的矛盾,"人事之争"主要是围绕教务长而进行,加之校外不利的经济和政治因素,最终导致教授群体的分裂和矛盾。学校的稳定发展和教授的齐心合力在很大程度上得益于蔡元培的个人魅力,终难避免"人去政息"的结局。
[Abstract]:Cai Yuanpei's administration of Peking University was not once and for all. "Professor governing school" came into being in the soil of western universities, and after transplanting to Chinese universities, it often fell into a difficult situation, and in the management and decision-making of school affairs. Based on different positions, there are many differences and disputes among the professors of Peking University. "the dispute between the New and the Old" contains the contradiction between the new and the old, the contradiction between the new culture and the old culture, and the "struggle for personnel" is mainly carried out around the provost. In addition, the unfavorable economic and political factors outside the school eventually lead to the division and contradiction of the group of professors. The steady development of the school and the concerted efforts of the professors to a large extent benefit from Cai Yuanpei's personal charm. It is inevitable to avoid the end of "people go to the government."
