香港的学术优势

【摘要】：正与拥有十多亿人口、并且为建设世界一流大学投入前所未有经费的中国内地相比,为什么七百万人口的中国香港特区能够拥有更多排名靠前的研究型大学?对这个问题的探讨,也许会为全球研究型大学的发展提供重要启迪。一、香港大学的学术现状香港有三所大学在世界大学排名中得分斐然,而且所有的八所公立大学在学术上的成就也令世人尊重。这三所名校——香港大学、香港科技大学、香港中文大学——在"泰晤士高等教育"2011年度排名分别为第34、61和151名。
[Abstract]:Compared with the mainland of China, which has a population of more than 1 billion and has invested an unprecedented amount of money in building world-class universities, why can the Hong Kong Special Administrative region of China, with a population of 7 million, have more top research universities? The discussion of this issue may provide important inspiration for the development of research universities around the world. One, the academic status of the University of Hong Kong, three universities in Hong Kong have scored well in the ranking of the world's universities. And the academic achievements of all eight public universities are respected. The three prestigious universities-the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong-ranked 3461 and 151 respectively in the Times higher Education rankings in 2011.
