达特茅斯学院社会捐赠特色研究

【摘要】：随着社会经济的发展,高等院校的重要性日益凸显。高校作为社会发展的先驱动力,为社会的进步培养各类所需的高端人才,提供智力支持。高校将知识不断的积累与传承,为社会的革新与发展起到积极的推进作用。如今,在世界范围内,教育经费问题已成了影响高等教育发展的重要因素。而我国高校现在也面临着资金短缺的问题,这种经费瓶颈严重制约着我国高校的健康发展。美国作为世界第一大经济体,对高等教育的发展尤为重视,是世界上私立大学最发达的国家,其筹资经验也是非常丰富的。根据美国高校教育经费筹集的经验显示,社会捐赠收入是美国高校财政收入中占比例最大的经费来源,其在高校的发展运行中占据了至关重要的位置。因此,本文以美国高校捐赠作为研究的切入点,以常春藤盟校之一的达特茅斯学院作为研究对象,详细分析了该校捐赠发展的情况。本研究主体结构分为五个部分：第一部分是绪论,分析了研究的缘起,简述了美国高等教育捐赠的发展,国内外对高等教育捐赠的研究,以及本文选用的研究方法,作为本论文的铺垫,提供理论支持。第二部分阐述了达特茅斯学院悠久独特的历史,详述了著名的达特茅斯学院案的起因及诉讼过程,并分析了其对美国高等教育及捐赠事业所产生的影响。第三部分主要介绍了达特茅斯学院设立的灵活多样的获赠形式,吸引了社会各界对其进行捐赠。第四部分分析了达特茅斯学院丰厚充裕的捐赠收益,其获赠数量与来源,精细高校的管理,以及捐赠资金的使用情况。最后一部分提出达特茅斯学院的社会捐赠对我国高等教育的借鉴意义,希望能够丰富我国高等教育捐赠的相关理论,指导我国高校的募捐人员,提高其募捐能力,促进我国高校捐赠事业的发展。
[Abstract]:With the development of social economy, the importance of colleges and universities is becoming more and more prominent. As a pioneer of social development, colleges and universities, as a pioneer of social development, train all kinds of high-end talents and provide intellectual support for social progress. It has played a positive role in promoting social innovation and development. Nowadays, in the world, the issue of education funds has become an important factor affecting the development of higher education. However, colleges and universities in our country are also facing the problem of capital shortage. As the largest economy in the world, the United States attaches great importance to the development of higher education and is the most developed country of private universities in the world. Its fund-raising experience is also very rich. According to the experience of raising funds for higher education in the United States, social donation income is the largest source of funding in the United States. Therefore, this paper takes the donation of American universities as the starting point, and Dartmouth College, one of the Ivy League schools, as the research object. The main structure of this study is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction, the origin of the research, the development of American higher education donation, and the research on higher education donation at home and abroad. And the research methods selected in this paper, as the foundation of this paper, provide theoretical support. The second part expounds the long and unique history of Dartmouth College, and details the causes and litigation process of the famous Dartmouth College case. The third part mainly introduces the flexible and diverse forms of grant established by Dartmouth College. The fourth part analyzes Dartmouth College's abundant donation income, the amount and source of its gift, and the fine management of colleges and universities. And the use of donated funds. In the last part, the author puts forward the significance of social donation of Dartmouth College to higher education in China, hoping to enrich the relevant theories of higher education donation in our country and guide the fundraisers in our country's colleges and universities. Improve its ability to raise donations, promote the development of the cause of college donation.
