论教育在美国华人社会地位转变中的作用

【摘要】：纵观美国华人的发展历程,教育在改变华人社会地位、经济状况、种族面貌上起了关键性的作用。华人自觉地以教育作为自我改善的手段,以教育作为反歧视、争取教育平等的武器,最终取得今日的辉煌成就。美国华人从教育上走向成功,不是美国制度恩赐的从天而降的“神话”,而是美国华人为争取受教育权抗争不止以及不断通过教育自我改善的结果。
