【摘要】：正读法教授之目的,不可单以养成正确之理解力为满足,而尤在养成文学趣味与陶冶国民性情也。夫文学趣味之养成与国民性情之陶冶,于国语教育之四分科,固无一不与相关。而最能达此目的者,实惟读法(即讲读)。吾人熟诵国民的教材及道德的教材,自能养成高尚之人格,陶冶忠爱之精神。又玩味文学的教材时,一种清新高尚之情操,亦得培养于不知不识之间。故养成文学趣味、陶冶国民性情,不可不视为读法教学之重要目的也。欧美最近之读法教授,皆以欲贯彻此目的,故而不惜极大之努力。如美国者,尤为显著。美国于大战之前,本已遘国语教育革新之机
[Abstract]:The purpose of reading teaching is not only to cultivate correct understanding, but also to cultivate literary interest and cultivate national temperament.
