文本类型理论指导下利比里亚旅游文本翻译实践报告

【摘要】：2008年12月,利比里亚第一所孔子学院在首都蒙罗维亚揭牌成立。学院由长沙理工大学与利比里亚大学合作建设,是中国和利比里亚进行文化交流的重要窗口。学院成立后,双方的文化交流更加密切。令人遗憾的是,至今为止尚无系统介绍利比里亚政治、经济、文化等信息的中文资料,给我们了解利比里亚带来了不便。本文通过系统翻译利比里亚官方旅游资料,达到了从旅游这个轻松的话题了解利比里亚,方便文化交流的目的。而且目前对利比里亚旅游文本的翻译也比较缺乏,所以翻译利比里亚旅游文本具有文化意义和现实价值。本次翻译任务为利比里亚英文旅游文本一万余词,目前尚无中文译本。旅游文本是指为传递景点信息、传播文化知识而产生的旅游语篇,是一种专业化文本。语篇具有简洁凝练、印象深刻、突出功能、激发兴趣等特点。所以译文必须体现旅游文本的两个主要功能:传递信息和诱导行动。正因如此,译文必须表达准确明了、富有吸引力,适合不同层面读者的理解和接受。利比里亚旅游文本是一本旅游指南也是旅游宣传手册,其主体部分是对利比里亚主要景点的介绍。旅游景点的介绍最具旅游文体特色,它是本文翻译的重点和难点。本次翻译任务以文本类型理论为指导。文本类型理论由德国功能主义学派的领军人物卡塔琳娜?莱思(Katharina Reiss)在《翻译批评:潜力与制约》(1971)一书中提出。莱思根据语言学家卡尔.布勒的语言功能三分法,建议根据文本的主要功能把所有文本划分为三种类型:信息型、表情型和操作型。莱思不仅将文本分为三大类型,还阐述了各种文本类型与翻译方法的总体关系。该模式的特别之处在于以翻译为焦点,对文本的分类、对语言功能、语言特点、交际情景和信息焦点等进行分析,这些都为本次利比里亚旅游文本的翻译策略寻求理据。本文根据文本类型理论选择了选词用字、结构调整和变译的翻译策略,并结合具体案例进行分析。
[Abstract]:In December 2008, Liberia's first Confucius Institute was inaugurated in Monrovia, the capital city. The institute was built by Changsha University of Technology in collaboration with the University of Liberia. It is an important window for cultural exchanges between China and Liberia. The cultural exchanges between the two sides have been closer. Regrettably, there is no systematic introduction to the political, economic and cultural information of Liberia in Chinese. It is inconvenient for us to understand Liberia. Through the systematic translation of official Liberian tourist materials, this paper has reached the goal of understanding Liberia from the relaxed topic of tourism. The purpose of facilitating cultural exchange. And at present, there is a relatively lack of translation of the Liberian tourist texts. Therefore, the translation of the Liberian tourist text has cultural significance and practical value. This translation mission is more than 10,000 words in the Liberian English tourist text, but there is no Chinese translation at present. The tourist text refers to the transmission of information about scenic spots. Tourism discourse resulting from the dissemination of cultural knowledge is a kind of specialized text. Therefore, the translation must embody the two main functions of the tourist text: to convey information and to induce action. Liberia Tourism text is a tourist guide and a tourism brochure, the main part of which is an introduction to Liberia's main scenic spots. This translation task is guided by the text typology theory, which is led by Katarina, the leading figure of the German functionalist school. Leslie, Katharina Reiss. in Translation criticism: potential and constraints, 1971.Leth suggests that all texts be classified into three types according to the linguistic function of Karl Biller, a linguist, according to the main function of the text: informational type. Not only does Leith divide the text into three types, but also expounds the general relationship between the text types and the translation methods. The special feature of this model is that it focuses on the translation, classifies the text and functions the language. The analysis of language characteristics, communicative situations and information focus all provide the basis for the translation strategies of the Liberian tourist texts. According to the text typology theory, this paper chooses the translation strategies of word selection, structural adjustment and translation variation. And combined with specific cases to analyze.
