金融发展与对外贸易：来自长三角地区的经验证据

【摘要】：随着经济全球化的深入发展,一方面,金融发展和对外贸易日益成为驱动经济增长的发动机,另外一方面,金融发展与对外贸易在区域内以及区域间的融合与互动关系也日益凸显。长三角地区既是中国外向型经济发展的典型代表,也是中国金融发展进程中的领跑者。在当前中国外贸增速明显放缓的背景下,以长三角地区为例来考察金融发展与对外贸易之间的内在联系具有重要的现实意义。本文在系统回顾金融发展与对外贸易相关研究文献的基础上,首先从规模、结构和效率三个层面考察了长三角地区金融发展的特征与态势,随后对长三角地区对外贸易发展状况进行分析,并探讨了其存在的问题。本文最后实证检验了长三角地区金融发展对贸易规模和贸易结构的影响。基于长三角核心区16个城市样本,利用固定效应估计、一阶差分GMM估计等方法,本文发现银行中介发展对贸易规模具有显著的促进作用,而股票市场发展在一定程度上对贸易规模具有阻碍作用；基于长三角“两省一市”样本,利用似然不相关回归方法,本文发现金融中介发展对出口贸易结构升级具有显著的促进作用。本文的政策含义是,进一步加快金融发展进程对于促进长三角地区对外贸易发展和经济增长具有重要意义。
[Abstract]:With the deepening development of economic globalization, on the one hand, financial development and foreign trade are increasingly becoming the engines of economic growth; on the other hand, The relationship between financial development and foreign trade in the region and between regions is also increasingly prominent. The Yangtze River Delta region is a typical representative of China's export-oriented economic development. Under the background of the obvious slowdown of China's foreign trade growth rate, it is of great practical significance to examine the internal relationship between financial development and foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta region as an example. Based on a systematic review of the literature on financial development and foreign trade, this paper first examines the characteristics and trends of financial development in the Yangtze River Delta region from the aspects of scale, structure and efficiency. Then it analyzes the development of foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta region and discusses its existing problems. Finally, this paper empirically tests the impact of financial development on the scale and structure of trade in the Yangtze River Delta region. Based on the samples of 16 cities in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta, using the methods of fixed effect estimation and first-order differential GMM estimation, this paper finds that the development of bank intermediary plays a significant role in promoting the scale of trade. The development of stock market to some extent hinders the scale of trade. Based on the sample of "two provinces and one city" in the Yangtze River Delta, the method of likelihood independent regression is used. This paper finds that the development of financial intermediation plays a significant role in promoting the upgrading of export trade structure. The policy implication of this paper is that further speeding up the process of financial development is of great significance to promote the development of foreign trade and economic growth in the Yangtze River Delta region.
