拜占庭镶嵌画初探

【摘要】: 本文主要论述拜占庭时期镶嵌画的发展、变迁以及其背后的社会历史。全文共分为三章。 第一章主要包括两个部分:拜占庭帝国之前地中海世界的镶嵌画传统和拜占庭帝国初期镶嵌画的发展情况。古希腊罗马地区和古代东方地区各自的镶嵌画传统为拜占庭镶嵌画的产生提供了肥沃的土壤。帝国初期随着基督教的发展,镶嵌画作为教堂装饰的最佳选择经历了绘制位置的转移和内容的变迁,但同时仍保留着古典文化的色彩。 第二章论述了拜占庭帝国中期镶嵌画的变化情况。圣像破坏运动给宗教艺术带来巨大损失的同时,为世俗内容的镶嵌画提供了发展机会。在圣像破坏运动后,基督教的相关理论稳定下来,镶嵌画随之形成了较为固定的模式,其中圣母像随着圣母崇拜的兴盛而深受人们喜爱。这段时间是拜占庭镶嵌画的盛期。 第三章是关于帝国晚期镶嵌画的发展和流传情况。此时的镶嵌画艺术开始摆脱严格的规制束缚,在形式和内容上都出现了人文主义的倾向。最终镶嵌画因为拜占庭帝国国力衰微而走向没落,被相对廉价的壁画所代替,但在受帝国文化影响的地区进一步发展。
[Abstract]:This paper mainly discusses the development, changes and social history of mosaic painting in Byzantium period. The full text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter mainly includes two parts: the tradition of mosaic painting in the Mediterranean before Byzantine Empire and the development of mosaic painting in the early period of Byzantine Empire. The ancient Greek-Roman and ancient oriental mosaic traditions provided fertile soil for the creation of Byzantine mosaics. With the development of Christianity in the early imperial period, mosaic, as the best choice of church decoration, experienced the transfer of drawing position and the change of content, but at the same time, it still retained the color of classical culture. The second chapter discusses the changes of mosaic painting in the mid-period of Byzantine Empire. At the same time, the destruction of holy images has brought great loss to religious art, and has provided opportunities for the development of secular inlaid paintings. After the icon destruction movement, the Christian theory stabilizes, the mosaic has formed the more fixed pattern, in which the Virgin Mary is popular with the prosperity of the worship of the Virgin Mary. This period was the heyday of Byzantine mosaics. The third chapter is about the development and spread of the late imperial mosaic painting. At this time, mosaic art began to get rid of strict restrictions, in the form and content of humanism trend. Eventually mosaics declined because of the decline of the Byzantine Empire and were replaced by relatively cheap murals but further developed in areas affected by imperial culture.
