美国公共史学的研究领域与理论方法

【摘要】:公共史学作为历史学的分支学科,兴起于20世纪70年代中叶,到现在已经成为美国史学界举足轻重的学科,而且引起了整个社会的广泛关注。鉴于国内对美国公共史学的关注较少,本文将着重介绍公共史学的三个研究领域,总结公共史学采用的一些理论与方法,并就其对中国史学实践的借鉴意义提出一些看法。 全文由绪论、正文、结语三部分组成。绪论部分,主要概述了选题的意义、国内外研究状况,并且以《公共历史学家》这本期刊为中心归纳公共史学的研究趋势。 正文分为三章。第一章主要探讨了公共史学的三个研究领域,分别讲述历史教育、媒体与记忆。具体介绍了公共史学课程设立目的及公共史学项目设计的具体要求,从中可以看出美国大学是如何培养公共历史学家的;公共史学与影视媒体、网络媒体的结合,改变了历史学研究成果的传播方式和历史知识的普及方式;公共历史学家在记忆方面的兴趣不断高涨,主要关注公共领域中不同记忆的交织和冲撞。第二章主要总结了公共史学所采用的的理论与方法。在理论上,公共历史学家一反传统史学家重视政治、军事重大事件的潮流,认为应该研究历史包括的所有领域和内容,采用多元化的史学理论;公共历史学家借助于后现代主义理论获得了更为广阔的天地,在研究历史与写作历史时不断瓦解职业历史学的权威性。在方法上,公共历史学家在项目实践过程中主要采用了跨学科的研究方法、.亲身经历法、团队协作法、口述史学方法和心理史学方法。第三章,美国公共史学在其所从事的主要研究领域中取得的成功经验,非常值得我们借鉴。本章主要从如何培养公共历史学家与如何推进历史知识社会化这两个方面论述了美国公共史学对中国史学发展的启示。 结语部分概述了美国公共史学产生的背景,国内一些史家对目前中国史学现状进行的反思和在中国开展公共史学的意义所在。
[Abstract]:Public historiography, as a branch of history, rose in the middle of 1970s, and has become an important subject in American historiography field, and has attracted wide attention of the whole society. In view of the lack of attention to American public historiography in China, this paper will focus on three research areas of public historiography, summarize some theories and methods used in public historiography, and put forward some views on its reference significance to the practice of Chinese historiography. The full text consists of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. In the introduction part, it summarizes the significance of the topic, the research situation at home and abroad, and summarizes the research trend of public historiography with the journal "Public historian" as the center. The text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter mainly discusses three research fields of public historiography, including history education, media and memory. This paper introduces the purpose of setting up the course of public historiography and the specific requirements of the project design of public historiography, from which we can see how American universities train public historians, the combination of public historiography, film and television media, and network media. It has changed the way of dissemination of historical research results and the popularization of historical knowledge. The interest of public historians in memory has been rising, mainly focusing on the intertwining and collision of different memories in the public domain. The second chapter summarizes the theories and methods used in public historiography. In theory, public historians against the trend of political and military events, think that we should study all the fields and contents of history, and adopt diversified historical theory; With the help of postmodernism theory, public historians have gained a wider world and continuously disintegrated the authority of professional history in the study of history and the writing of history. In terms of methods, public historians mainly adopt interdisciplinary research methods in the process of project practice. Personal experience, teamwork, oral history and psychological history. In the third chapter, the successful experience of American public historiography in its main research fields is very worthy of our reference. This chapter discusses the enlightenment of American public historiography to the development of Chinese historiography from two aspects: how to cultivate public historians and how to promote the socialization of historical knowledge. The conclusion part summarizes the background of American public historiography, the reflection of some domestic historians on the present situation of Chinese historiography and the significance of developing public historiography in China.
