【摘要】：正这是二十几年前写的一本书稿,正式由英国剑桥大学出版也是十年前的事。二十多年前,我到美国普林斯顿大学做余英时先生的研究生。我在申请学校时的研究计划一个是战国到秦的思想转折,一个是明末的思想。余先生当时甫自耶鲁转来,见面之后便说他认为我应该用傅斯年为题写博士论文,原因之一是如此重要的人物,西文及中文皆从未有
[Abstract]:It was written more than 20 years ago and officially published by Cambridge University ten years ago. More than 20 years ago, I went to Princeton University to work as a graduate student of Mr. Yu Ying-shi. When I applied for the school, my research plan was a thought transition from warring States to Qin, and a thought from late Ming Dynasty. Mr. Yu, who had been transferred from Yale at the time, said after meeting him that he thought I should write my doctoral thesis with Fu Sinian as the title. One of the reasons for this was that such an important person had never been found either in the Western language or in Chinese.
