论20世纪上半叶美国大众文化对其城市化的推动作用

【摘要】：早在上个世纪80年代,大众文化就已得到国内各界的关注,但由于各种因素,国内对大众文化的研究仍然处于一种起步阶段,在理论基础、研究目标和方法论等方面尚处于探索之中。从已有的研究成果来看,优秀、创新之作已然不胜枚举,但对于分支众多,范围辽阔的大众文化而言,这些研究尚数冰山一角。此外,基于对大众文化的实质认识还不够,一些学者研究方向也比较狭窄,多蹈袭前人,研究大众文化其自身特质,而很少与相应的历史背景相结合。笔者发现在20世纪上半叶这一特殊时期,美国的大众文化的发展与其城市化的发展是相互交织,不可分割的。同时,国内学者对20世纪上半叶美国的城市化研究也不多,多注重其整体城市化的进程与阶段研究,鲜有学者对推动城市化进程的因素进行研究。国内即便有零星之作将两者结合的研究,也只停留于将两者平行列出的表面,也未能清楚指出两者的关系。因此笔者将20世纪上半叶美国的大众文化与其城市化相结合研究,旨在探析当时大众文化对其城市化的推动作用。因此,笔者试图在借鉴前人研究成果的基础上,期望有所突破。一方面重新对美国大众文化界定,合理批判法兰克福学派,突出其内在本质及主要表现形式；另一方面从各方面给城市化定义,探析美国城市化的主导因素,并从不同角度展示美国城市化的进程；最后突出展示在20世纪上半叶这样一个大时间背景下,美国大众文化的主要表现形式并明确指出美国大众文化对其城市化在三个方面的推动作用。希望通过笔者的分析,有助于人们更客观的认识美国大众文化的本质,了解美国城市化的进程,以及其大众文化为同一时期城市化所作出的贡献。
[Abstract]:As early as the 1980s, popular culture has been concerned by all walks of life in China. However, due to various factors, the study of popular culture in China is still in its infancy and on the theoretical basis. The research goal and methodology are still in the process of exploration. From the existing research results, excellent and innovative works are already numerous, but for the popular culture with many branches and a wide range, These researches are still the tip of the iceberg. In addition, because of the insufficient understanding of the essence of popular culture, some scholars also have a narrow research direction and often follow their predecessors to study the characteristics of popular culture, but seldom combine with the corresponding historical background. The author finds that in the first half of the 20th century, the development of American mass culture and the development of urbanization are intertwined and inseparable. At the same time, there are few researches on American urbanization in the first half of the 20th century. More attention is paid to the study of the process and stage of the overall urbanization. Few scholars study the factors that promote the process of urbanization. Even if there are sporadic studies on the combination of the two, they will only stay on the surface of the parallel listing of the two. Therefore, the author combines the mass culture of the United States in the first half of the 20th century with its urbanization in order to explore the role of popular culture in promoting its urbanization at that time. On the one hand, I try to define American popular culture again, criticize Frankfurt school rationally, highlight its intrinsic essence and main forms of expression; On the other hand, it gives the definition of urbanization from various aspects, analyzes the leading factors of urbanization in the United States, and shows the process of urbanization in the United States from different angles. Finally, it highlights the background of such a large period in the first half of the 20th century. The main manifestations of American popular culture and the role of American popular culture in promoting its urbanization in three aspects. I hope that through the author's analysis, it will help people to understand the essence of American popular culture more objectively. Understand the process of urbanization in the United States and the contribution of its mass culture to urbanization in the same period.
