中西方休闲观念差异探究

【摘要】：本文试图首先勾勒出人类休闲活动的全貌,从文化历史学的角度给予休闲一个直观的展示。闲暇整体来说是对日常生存与维持性世界的否定,是对日常生存与维持性生活的逃避与超越,而渴望走向理想与梦想的自由世界。而这种对于理想自由的渴望在人类的现实生活中可以大致分为四个方向,这四个方向是：娱乐方向、安逸方向、创造、探索与发展方向、宗教与关爱方向,各种文化对于闲暇的不同方向有着不同的偏好,而这些偏好形成的实践最终构成了文化自身的特色。随后,就中西方休闲文化的差异展开简要的论述,指出中文中的“休闲”与英文中"Leisure"的内涵不同,"Leisure"更多体现出一种“用闲”的概念。通过对中西方闲暇观念的对比,我们发现中西方闲暇文化差异的核心在于主动挑战性。最后一章作为文章的核心,探讨了中西方休闲文化差异的核心原因：文化理想。就文明伊始的休闲思想与休闲追求做一对比,从而阐释中西方休闲文化根源性的不同。孔子、老子的休闲思想和柏拉图、亚里士多德的休闲思想有着根本的不同,这种不同是展示中西方文化差异的最佳窗口,一种文化崇尚冒险与活力,而另一种文化钟爱安宁与平稳。末尾,对文章做一简要的总结,就闲暇与文明的话题展开简要的议论。
[Abstract]:This article first attempts to outline the overall picture of human leisure activities, from the perspective of cultural history to give a visual display of leisure. Leisure as a whole is the negation of the daily existence and maintenance of the world. It is the escape and transcendence of daily existence and the maintenance of sexual life, and the desire to move towards the free world of ideals and dreams. And this desire for ideal freedom can be roughly divided into four directions in the real life of human beings. These four directions are: entertainment, comfort, creation, exploration and development, religion and love, and different cultures have different preferences for different directions of leisure. And the practice formed by these preferences finally formed the characteristics of culture itself. Then, the differences between Chinese and Western leisure culture were briefly discussed. It is pointed out that the meaning of "leisure" in Chinese is different from that of "Leisure" in English, and that "Leisure" more embodies the concept of "using leisure". We find that the core of the differences in leisure culture between China and the West lies in initiative challenge. This paper probes into the core causes of the differences in leisure culture between China and the West: the cultural ideal. By comparing the leisure thoughts and the leisure pursuits at the beginning of civilization, the author explains the differences in the root causes of leisure culture between China and the West. Confucius, Laozi's leisure thoughts and Plato, Aristotle's leisure thinking is fundamentally different. This difference is the best window to show the cultural differences between China and the West, one culture advocates adventure and vitality, and the other loves tranquility and stability.
