英国新左派宽容观与马克思文化思想关系探析

【摘要】：马克思虽未提出文化理论,但具有丰富而深刻的文化思想,宽容是马克思文化思想的重要内涵。英国新左派的文化批判理论对马克思的文化宽容理论视阈进行了拓展,主要表现为:强调人的主体意识的功能和人道主义文化观;提出在西方资本主义文明发展的基础上建立尊重各民族文明差异性的世界性文明;从日常生活层面阐述文化宽容的思想。英国新左派的文化宽容思想吸收了西方马克思主义的文化理论成果,在一定程度上拓展了马克思文化宽容思想的广度,但由于对历史唯物主义原则的背离,使得这一思想的现实批判强度和理论解释力度都有所不足。这一方法论缺陷使英国新左派不能对资本主义意识形态构成真正的挑战,反而会因其形式主义与理想主义而陷入空想的窠臼,从而违背其批判资本主义文化霸权以走向文化自由的理论初衷。
[Abstract]:Although Marx did not put forward the cultural theory, but has rich and profound cultural thought, tolerance is the important connotation of Marx's cultural thought. The cultural criticism theory of the British New left has expanded Marx's theory of cultural tolerance, mainly as follows: emphasizing the function of human's subjective consciousness and humanitarianism cultural view; On the basis of the development of western capitalist civilization, the author proposes to establish a world civilization that respects the differences of civilizations of all nationalities, and expounds the idea of cultural tolerance from the aspect of daily life. The cultural tolerance thought of the British New left absorbs the cultural theory achievements of Western Marxism, and to some extent expands the breadth of Marx's cultural tolerance thought, but it deviates from the principle of historical materialism. It makes the realistic critical strength and theoretical explanation of this thought insufficient. This methodological flaw prevented the British New left from posing a real challenge to capitalist ideology, but instead fell into the trap of fantasy because of its formalism and idealism. Therefore, it goes against its original intention of criticizing capitalist cultural hegemony in order to move towards cultural freedom.
