朱燮元与晚明水西土司改流问题

【摘要】：晚明,面对贵州水西土司相继出现叛乱及宣慰使绝嗣的情形,明廷并未按惯例对其进行改流,而是在贵州巡抚朱燮元的主持下,分别采取了削地贬秩和分土世官的处置措施。说明晚明水西土司改流的条件尚未成熟。水西土司内部独特的政治制度,及土目汉把维护土司统治的意愿使改流面临巨大阻力;而内忧外患、财政匮乏等困境的制约令明廷无暇亦无力改流。因此,朱燮元在水西土司改流问题上的举措乃审时度势之举,实为一种渐进式改流,意在逐步削弱水西土司实力、瓦解土司内部制度、增强卫所实力的基础上实现彻底改流。
[Abstract]:In the late Ming Dynasty, in the face of a succession of insurrections and propaganda in the west of Guizhou, the Ming court did not change its flow as usual, but under the auspices of Guizhou governor Zhu Xieyuan. Some measures were taken to reduce the rank of the land and divide the earth officials, which showed that the conditions for the diversion of the western toast in the late Ming Dynasty were not mature, and the unique political system within the western region and the willingness of the native people to maintain the rule of the toast made the diversion face great resistance; However, the constraints of internal and external troubles, lack of financial resources and other difficulties have neither the time nor the ability of the Ming government to change the flow. Therefore, Zhu Xieyuan's action on the reform of the water and west toast was a matter of judging the situation and was in fact a gradual change in the flow, with the intention of gradually weakening the strength of the water and west toast. Break down the internal system of toast, strengthen the strength of the Institute on the basis of the realization of a thorough diversion.
