【摘要】：赵用贤(1535-1596),字汝师,号定宇,常熟人。隆庆五年进士,选庶吉士,授检讨。万历五年,疏劾首辅张居正夺情,被杖削籍。居家数年,于万历十一年起复原官,旋升春坊赞善,进司经局洗马管国子监司业事,擢春坊庶子兼翰林院侍读,出为南京国子监祭酒、礼部右侍郎。久之,召还北部,改吏部左侍郎,未几,移疾归,居家三年卒,赠礼部尚书,谥文毅。性慷慨,负气节,强学好问,饶经济才,善文能诗,尤嗜藏书。本文通过对文献史料的搜集与整理,并充分结合《定宇赵公墓志铭》等新发现的材料,首次以年谱的形式,系统梳理了赵用贤的家族世系,对赵用贤的生平事迹、仕途变迁、诗文创作等方面逐年考订,力求详尽准确。同时,对部分文献资料中出现的讹误进行了纠正,并根据具体情况进行考证。
