【摘要】：正[长沙通信]当此粤汉铁路株韶段修筑期间,湘南衡山、衡阳、耒阳、永兴、零陵各县,智识闭塞之愚民易为迷信所惑,传谓铁路工人建筑桥基用邪术杀人祭桥,然后桥基始可稳固,铁桥始能筑成。无智人民误信杀人祭桥之语,故遇铁路工人视同公众仇
[Abstract]:Positive. [Changsha Communication] during the construction of this Yueh-Han railway Zhushao section, Hengshan, Hengyang, Leiyang, Yongxing, and Jiuling counties in southern Hunan Province, the foolish and ignorant people who knew nothing easily were confused by superstition, and it was said that railway workers had built bridges to kill people with sorcery. Only then can the bridge foundation be firm and the iron bridge be built. The unwise people misbelieve the words of murder and sacrifice the bridge, so the railway workers regard them as public feuds
