[Abstract]:The Destruction of the Medieval Chinese Aristocracy was published in August 2016 as the 93rd in the series of Harvard Yenching Society monographs. Nicolas Tackett is associate professor of history at the Berkeley campus of the University of California. Historians have long been puzzled by the complete demise of the 10 th century (Tang and Song) Chinese aristocracy, the monarch that dominated China for centuries. The author of this monograph uses a new digital method to analyze the huge source literature.
