敦煌本《秀禅师劝善文》考释

【摘要】:《秀和尚劝善文》见于敦煌写本S.5702和P.3521v,其中前者仅存10行文字,后者保存完整。后者写成于乙巳年闰五月,可推定为宋开宝二年(969)之遗墨,说明神秀北宗禅自唐朝后期衰败后,并未消亡,直到北宋早期尚在敦煌有所流行。该文献由神秀所撰,反映了神秀对菩萨戒的注重和顿渐兼修的禅法思想。神秀在说教时为避免生涩与枯燥,经常会引入一些人们熟知的佛教典故,如宾头卢的故事来劝导世人,义理深奥却生动有趣。
[Abstract]:In Dunhuang, S.5702 and P.3521v. the former contains only 10 lines of writing and the latter is intact. The latter is written in May of Yi-si and can be presumed to be the posthumous ink of Song Kaibao's second year, 969), which shows that Shenxiu Beizong Zen has fallen since the late Tang Dynasty. It did not die out until the early Northern Song Dynasty, when it was still popular in Dunhuang. The document was compiled by Shenxiu and reflected his emphasis on Bodhisattva precepts and his gradual meditation and meditation. In his preaching, Shenxiu avoided being astringent and boring. Some well-known Buddhist allusions, such as the Bentoulou story, are often introduced to persuade the world.
