评价理论视角下《甜橙树》英译本研究

【摘要】：目前国内许多经典儿童文学作品多是国外作品的译本,而本土儿童文学如何“走出去”是一大难题,这除了受限于内容、文化差异以及传播问题,翻译问题是最主要的原因之一。目前对国内儿童文学的英文译本研究并不多见,应用评价理论进行的儿童文学翻译研究也十分罕见。儿童文学作家曹文轩作为“国际安徒生奖”获得者,其作品被译为多种语言出版,受到国内外儿童的喜爱,并对国内外儿童具有深远的影响力。故而为了拓展儿童文学翻译研究,本研究以曹文轩的《甜橙树》及其王国振的英译本为研究内容,旨在分析儿童文学英译本在评价理论视角下所采取的翻译策略。本研究应用评价理论为理论框架,评价理论包括态度系统,介入系统和级差系统。态度系统包括情感、判断和鉴赏,介入系统分为自言和借言,级差系统包括语势和聚焦。就研究方法而言,本研究采用定性和定量分析相结合的方法。定性方法主要体现在,运用语料库分析工具UAM Corpus Tool对语料中评价系统下的态度、介入和级差资源进行识别和标注;定量方法主要体现在对各个系统下评价资源的分布进行定量统计。在此基础上,本文运用定性分析方法深入分析译者在处理评价资源时所采用的翻译方法及其效果。本研究通过数据分析发现,首先就评价资源的实现而言,评价系统下的态度、级差以及介入资源的各个子系统在故事集《甜橙树》及其英译本中都有所体现。其次就评价资源的分布特点来说,第一,态度资源最丰富,其次是级差资源和介入资源,并且显性资源多于隐性资源,正面资源多于负面资源;第二,英译本中的态度资源和级差资源所占比例大于原文本,而介入资源却小于原文本。态度、介入和级差的各个子系统资源在《甜橙树》原文本和译文本中数量相当,但是总数却不一致。经过分析,本研究发现译者在翻译的过程中对原文本中的评价资源分别采用了增添、删减以及转换等方法进行了调整。继而,本研究探讨了这种翻译方法背后文化和动机这两个因素,具体说来,译者用这三种翻译方法使译文更加详细地表达出人物内心的感情,更加贴合目标读者群体,达到儿童文学“走出去”的目的。本研究不仅拓展了评价理论在儿童文学翻译领域的应用,还探究了译者在处理译文评价资源时所采用的翻译方法,为其他译者提供了参考,有利于中国儿童文学真正地“走出去”。
[Abstract]:At present, many of the classic children's literature is the translation of foreign works, and the local children's literature how to "go out" is a big problem, but it is limited to the contents, cultural differences and communication, translation is one of the main reasons. The current version of English research on domestic children's literature does not see more, of children the application of the appraisal theory of literary translation is also very rare. Children's literature writer Cao Wenxuan as the "international Andersen award winner, his works have been translated into many languages, both at home and abroad the love of children, and the children at home and abroad have far-reaching influence. Therefore, in order to expand children's literature translation studies, based on the English version of Cao Wenxuan the < > king Guozhen and orange trees as the research content, aims to analyze the translation of children's literature from the perspective of appraisal theory adopted in this study should be translation strategies. With the evaluation theory, evaluation theory including the attitude system, engagement and graduation systems. The system includes emotional attitude, judgment and appreciation, and intervention system is divided into self-made heteroglossic, graduation system including force and focus. As to the research method, this study adopts the method of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis of qualitative methods. Is mainly reflected in the use of corpus analysis tools UAM system under the Corpus Tool on the evaluation corpus, to identify and mark the engagement and graduation resources; quantitative methods mainly quantitative statistics in the distribution of each system of appraisal resources. On this basis, this paper uses qualitative analysis method to analyze the translation methods adopted by the translator evaluation and effect of resources. In this study, through data analysis, the first assessment of the resources in terms of implementation, appraisal system, attitude, level difference and medium Each subsystem into the resource set < > orange tree and its English versions are reflected in the story. Then the distribution characteristics of appraisal resources, attitude first, the most abundant resources, followed by graduation resources and engagement resources, and dominant resources than the hidden resources, more resources to positive negative resources; second, occupied by British translation of attitudinal resources and graduation resources is greater than the proportion of the original text, and the intervention of resources are less than the original text. Then, this study discusses the two factors behind this translation method of culture and motivation, in particular, the translator Three translation methods make the translation more detailed expression of their inner feelings, closer to the target audience, to achieve the purpose of children's literature in the "going out".
