功能对等理论视角下国际快递条款的翻译研究

【摘要】：国际快递条款,又称为“服务条款”,是一种主客间权责的合同,其主要内容是为了防范和规避运输中的风险,在发生重大自然灾害,人为损坏或义务纠纷的情况下,可以快速简单地归咎责任,处理问题。此合同虽是双方合同,但同时涉及快递公司,发货人和收货人三方利益。一旦快递公司承运货物,此条款便开始生效,直到收件人完好地收到货物,合同便终结。为了在货物运输前确保一切承诺和担保的实现,快递条款在货物运输期间至关重要。本文主要以国际四大快递公司(分别是中外运敦豪国际航空快件有限公司、美国联合包裹公司服务、中外运天地快件有限公司和美国联邦快递公司)官方发布的快递服务条款为研究对象(均为中英文完整版)。首先将所有数据收集整理,建成小型语料库,使用treetagger进行附码。其次运用WordSmith Tools中的三大功能,分别是Concord(语境共现检索工具)、WordList(词频列表检索工具)、KeyWords(关键词检索工具)进行检索,统计出国际快递条款的平均词长,平均句长,文本难易度,字符数,实词和虚词的数量和最高词频等相关数据,将统计结果制成表格数据,对比分析国际快递条款的语言特点,句法形态和文本特征,为下文从功能对等角度分析其翻译文本打下了基础。本文分别从古语词,同现和叠加,名词复数,被动语态,句子难易度和语气等七个方面,例证和研究了快递条款源语言和目标语言的功能对等。与传统翻译理论不同,功能对等理论注重目标语读者反应,并作为翻译文本与原文本对等标准之一,为翻译过程中应该采取何种翻译方法提供了参考。功能对等理论除强调意义至上的原则外,同时强调风格的对等。本文在功能对等理论指导下,结合语料库的基本数据的对比,例证和分析了国际快递条款的的源语言和目标语言的功能对等。最后从对等和自然两个角度分别讨论了翻译方法在快递条款中的运用,以期有所裨益。
[Abstract]:International express clause, also called "service clause", is a kind of contract between subject and guest, its main content is to prevent and avoid the risk in transportation, in the occurrence of major natural disasters. In the case of artificial damage or obligation dispute, you can quickly and simply impute the responsibility and deal with the problem. Although this contract is a contract between the parties, it also involves the express delivery company. The consignor and consignee have a tripartite interest. Once the goods are shipped by the express delivery company, this clause shall take effect until the goods are received in good condition by the addressee. The contract is terminated in order to ensure the fulfilment of all commitments and guarantees prior to the shipment of the goods. Express clauses are of great importance during the transportation of goods. This article mainly uses four major international express delivery companies (respectively Sinotrans DHL International Air Express Co., Ltd., United Parcel USA) to serve. The official express service terms issued by Sinotrans Express Co., Ltd and FedEx Co., Ltd. and FedEx Co., Ltd. (both Chinese and English complete version) are the object of study. First, all data are collected and sorted, and a small corpus is built. Use treetagger to attach code. Secondly, use the three functions of WordSmith Tools, namely Concord-Concord-Concord (context Co-occurrence Retrieval tool). WordList( word Frequency list Retrieval tool) key words (keyword search tool) to retrieve, statistics the international express terms of the average word length, average sentence length, easy text. The number of characters, the number of notional words and function words and the maximum frequency of words and other relevant data, the statistical results into tabular data, comparative analysis of the terms of international express language characteristics, syntactic form and text features. This paper lays a foundation for the following analysis of the translated text from the perspective of functional equivalence. This thesis focuses on seven aspects: ancient words, cooccurrence and superposition, plural nouns, passive voice, sentence difficulty and mood. Different from the traditional translation theory, functional equivalence theory focuses on the response of the target readers and is one of the standards of equivalence between the translated text and the original text. The functional equivalence theory not only emphasizes the principle of meaning first, but also emphasizes the equivalence of style. This paper is guided by functional equivalence theory. Combined with the comparison of the basic data of the corpus. This paper illustrates and analyzes the source language and the functional equivalence of the target language of the international express clause. Finally, the application of the translation method in the express delivery clause is discussed from the perspective of equivalence and nature respectively, in order to be helpful.
