认知语言学视域下GET的一词多义分析

基于认知语言学的一词多义研究近年来已经成为词汇研究的热点之一。文献研究表明,前人对认知语言学视角下的一词多义研究多集中在名词heart,hand,head等词,而对于动词的研究并不多见。因此,本研究选取高频动词GET,采用概念隐喻,意象图式,射体界标以及理想化认知模型理论,对GET的一词多义展开研究。本文采用个案研究以及定量与定性相结合的研究方法。首先,作者搜集到GET作为动词的25个义项,数据主要来源于《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》,《韦氏高阶英语词典》,《朗文当代高级英语辞典》,《麦克米伦高阶英语词典》,《柯林斯COBUILD高级英汉双解词典》,《英汉大词典》。依据认知语言学理论,将所有义项分为字面义和隐喻义,包括1个基本义,13个增添义和11个隐喻义,其中增添义又可分为5类。研究表明,基本义是GET的所有义项中最核心、最典型的词义;增添义是由基本义延伸而来的,词义也随之发生了变化;隐喻义则是在基本义的基础上以隐喻的方式得来。相比之下,基本义和增添义更具体,而隐喻义则较抽象。然后,为研究其使用频率,笔者从BNC语料库随机抽取2500条语料进行分析归纳,得出基本义和增添义使用频率较高,而隐...
