医学期刊论文中的人际意义研究

【摘要】： 功能语言学认为语言的语义系统包含了三个方面：概念意义、人际意义和语篇意义。概念意义和语篇意义已经得到了较充分的研究，而人际意义的研究相对来说较少，关于科学语篇人际意义的研究就更少。因此，本研究以系统功能语言学的人际功能理论为基础，结合巴赫金的对话理论，根据语料库语言学提供的方法，建立了一个由40篇英语医学期刊科研论文组成的共22.5万词的语料库，以这些真实的语料为研究对象，将语篇看作动态的过程而非成品，，实证性地考察其中的人际意义及其体现。 研究发现传统上被认为科学、客观、准确，以传递最新科研成果和科学信息为主的科研论文，语篇中其实充满作者与读者之间的社会互动，而且语言系统为实现这种互动提供了丰富的语言资源，如英语的情态系统与人称代词等。科研论文的这些特点是由科学写作的社会性决定的。 本研究的意义在于：理论上，以实证的方法检验了系统功能语言学作为语篇分析理论的解释力，且尝试将对话理论与系统功能语言学相结合来探讨医学期刊科研论文中的人际意义，拓宽了语言研究的思路；实践中，本研究成果将对我们的专门用途英语教学，尤其是医学英语的教学，提供新的视角，即科研论文的写作不仅是报道科研成果、传达科学信息，而且要重视功能语言学“选择即意义”这一理念，在语篇中建立良性的人际关系，有读者意识，以满足交际双方的面子需求并得到专家和同行的认可和接受。因此，本研究对专门用途英语的教学具有指导意义。
