中英学术论文英文摘要语体正式度对比研究

【摘要】：语体正式度是文体学研究的一个重要方面,是反映和影响摘要写作水平的重要因素。语体正式度与词汇密度有着密切关系。一般情况下,词汇密度越高,语体的正式程度也就越高。本文对中英学者英文摘要的词汇密度做了比较研究。文章首先回顾了语言学家测定词汇密度的方法和影响词汇密度的因素,其中对名词化隐喻及其复杂性作了重点介绍。本研究分别从ELT和《外语教学》杂志中选取了九十五篇英文摘要并运用测定词汇密度的方法测出了其词汇密度并对名词化的频率做了统计。与本研究预期不同的是,中国作者所写英文摘要的词汇密度比以英语为母语的作者所写英文摘要的词汇密度稍高。尽管中国学者和以英语为母语的学者在英文摘要写作中所用词汇密度差别不大,但是中国学者所用语言不够地道。既然词汇密度方面差别不大,到底是哪些因素导致了两者之间的差距呢?本研究发现,尽管中国学者所写英语摘要的词汇密度偏离以英语为母语的作者不多,但是他们在连接词的使用和主位结构等方面还有很大改进空间。本研究对中国学者摘要写作水平的提高和本领域的研究会有所帮助。
