从翻译地理学角度探析电影名称汉译

【摘要】:电影作为一种重要的艺术形式,是全世界文化交流的主要媒体。而电影名称则可以被视为电影的商标和灵魂。随着全球化的发展,大量的英文电影不断涌入中国市场。电影名称翻译已经由原来的细枝末节转化为如今具有规模化和一定质量要求的产业。这为翻译者们提出了新的机遇和挑战。 然而由于电影名称体裁特殊,具有一定的任意性和独立性,缺少对文本的依存,导致至今该领域的研究甚少,翻译者曾经用目的论,接受美学,,文化论等理论结合电影名称进行研究,试图提出一套完整有效地理论系统来指导电影名称翻译。随着研究不断深入,越来越多的研究者认为,电影名称独具的特性使得它的文化特性应当被着重强调。 《翻译地理学》是许建忠教授在2009年推出的译本翻译学专著。其理论将地理学进行了广义的分析和统计,又结合了翻译理论,为翻译理论开拓出了一片新的疆土。在翻译地理学中,地理被分为自然地理和人文地理,许教授主张在翻译过程中,翻译者不应仅仅从文字表面去翻译,而是应当钻研文本背后承载的一切地理因素(包括自然地里和人文地理)。翻译的过程也不是单纯文字转化的过程,而是一种文化的转换和推广。 本文在翻译地理学理论的指导下,首次将翻译地理学引入电影名称翻译,分析了地理差异在电影名称制定以及翻译上的影响,从而推导出电影名称翻译应当采取的方法和策略,探讨了翻译过程中,应当选择地理特征的保留抑或是转化,力求对电影名称翻译以及翻译领域作出微薄贡献。
[Abstract]:Film, as an important art form, is the main medium for cultural exchange all over the world. And the name of the film can be regarded as the trademark and soul of the film. With the development of globalization, A large number of English films have been pouring into the Chinese market. The translation of film titles has been transformed from the original details into an industry with a large scale and certain quality requirements, which presents translators with new opportunities and challenges. However, due to its special genre, arbitrariness and independence, and the lack of dependence on the text, so far little research has been done in this field. Translators have used teleology to accept aesthetics. The theory of culture and other theories are combined with the name of the film, and try to put forward a complete and effective theoretical system to guide the translation of the film name. With the development of the research, more and more researchers think that, The unique nature of the title of the film makes it important to emphasize its cultural identity. Translation Geography is a monograph of translation studies published by Professor Xu Jianzhong in 2009. Its theory makes a broad analysis and statistics of geography and combines translation theory. In translation geography, geography is divided into natural geography and human geography. Professor Xu argues that in the process of translation, translators should not just translate from the surface of the text. Instead, we should study all the geographical factors (including natural ground and human geography) behind the text. The process of translation is not a simple process of text transformation, but a cultural transformation and promotion. Under the guidance of the theory of translation geography, this paper introduces translation geography into film name translation for the first time, and analyzes the influence of geographical differences on the formulation and translation of film names. This paper deduces the methods and strategies that should be adopted in the translation of film names, and probes into the choice of the preservation or transformation of geographical features in the process of translation, in order to make a modest contribution to the translation of film names and the field of translation.
