从形式主义角度看语言中的象似性

【摘要】：象似性的语言学研究在最近几年成为一个具有争议的话题。功能认知学家提出语言结构在很大程度上是非任意性的。这样,象似性的提出似乎对生成句法学中的“自足性”和“独立性”观点提出质疑。然而最新研究表明语言结构与概念结构之间的象似关系在生成句法学中可以得到相当充分的阐释。在此基础上,本文旨在从形式主义角度研究生成句法理论中的部分句法规则,说明生成句法学的研究主题虽然不是象似性,却可以深刻阐释象似性,更有说服力地从形式主义角度所表现的语言象似性。首先,论文从象似性的符号学阐释、语言表现和语言学争议话题的反思出发,对语言象似性和形式主义理论进行整理,并通过对生成句法学的理论溯源和象似性原则分类来梳理象似性同任意性、理据性、经济性之间的对应参照关系。然后,论文进入生成句法的理论系统,分别从宏观和微观的考察来阐释其句法理论规则,内容主要包括：X-bar阶标理论、D-结构、S-结构、逻辑式、双宾语结构以及最简方案等,并通过对比距离象似等象似原则来证明生成句法与象似性在很大程度上是可以相容的。通过阐释部分引起结构歧义的句法现象来说明形式主义语言研究对语言象似性的解释力。
[Abstract]:Iconicity linguistics has become a controversial topic in recent years. Functional cognitive scientists suggest that language structure is largely non-arbitrary. In this way, iconicity seems to question the concept of self-sufficiency and independence in generative syntax. However, recent studies have shown that the iconicity between linguistic and conceptual structures can be fully interpreted in generative syntax. On this basis, the purpose of this paper is to study some syntactic rules in generative syntactic theory from the perspective of formalism, and to show that although the subject of generative syntax is not iconicity, it can profoundly explain iconicity. More persuasively, the linguistic iconicity is expressed from the perspective of formalism. First of all, based on the semiotics interpretation of iconicity, linguistic expression and linguistic controversy, the thesis collates the theory of iconicity and formalism. By classifying the theoretical origin of generative syntax and the principle of iconicity, the corresponding referential relations among iconicity and arbitrariness, motivation and economy are sorted out. Then, the thesis goes into the theoretical system of syntactic generation and explains the rules of syntactic theory from macro and micro perspectives respectively. The contents mainly include the S- structure of D- structure, the logical formula, the double object structure and the simplest scheme, and so on. By contrasting the principle of distance iconicity, it is proved that generative syntax and iconicity are compatible to a great extent. By explaining the syntactic phenomena which partly lead to structural ambiguity, this paper illustrates the explanatory power of formalistic language research on linguistic iconicity.
