“八字诀”:开启阴阳美学迷宫的钥匙

【摘要】:如果说曾国藩提出的“古文四象”说属于风格审美分类的范畴,那么,他提出的“八字诀”则是对风格美之本质特征的概括。“八字诀”中的“雄、直、怪、丽”,是阳刚之美的特质:“茹、远、洁、适”,则是阴柔之美的审美特点。“八字诀”从美学和审美心理学的高度,极大丰富完善了桐城派的风格理论体系,开拓深化了人们的审美视野,虽然还不能说己达到科学的高度,却毕竟是审美认识上的进步,有助于更加准确地进行审美鉴赏和价值判断。“四象说”与“八字诀”的提出,不仅把桐城派刚柔学说推进到新的学理层面,也是对整个中国古典文艺理论批评的丰富与发展。
[Abstract]:If the "four Xiang" theory of ancient prose proposed by Zeng Guofan belongs to the category of style aesthetic classification, his "eight-character formula" is a summary of the essential characteristics of style beauty. The "male, straight, strange and beautiful" is the beauty of masculinity: "Ru, distance, cleanliness, fitness" is the aesthetic characteristic of feminine beauty. From the height of aesthetics and aesthetic psychology, the "eight characters" greatly enriches and perfects the style theory system of Tongcheng school, opens up and deepens people's aesthetic field of vision, although it cannot be said to have reached a scientific height, it is, after all, a progress in aesthetic understanding. It is helpful for more accurate aesthetic appreciation and value judgment. The proposition of "four Xiang Theory" and "eight characters" not only advanced Tongcheng school's rigid and soft theory to a new theoretical level, but also enriched and developed the criticism of the whole Chinese classical literary and art theory.
