后现代主义的装饰艺术

[Abstract]:The modernist art of postmodernism has been developing for nearly a hundred years, and great changes have taken place in the 1960s and 1970s. This change first occurred in the field of architecture. In some industrialized countries, people are increasingly uneasy about the destruction of the ecological environment caused by technological progress, accusing modernist design of bringing all kinds of problems to social life and not suitable for people's psychological needs. The Pruit-Igo residential area, designed by famous Japanese American designer Yamazaki, was blown up, the disappearance of a building in St. Louis that won a prize from the American Institute of Architecture in 1951. Symbolizes the decline of western modernism. In 1977, Charles Jenks published Postmodern Architectural language, which made the word "postmodernism" popular. Due to its extensive use without distinction, "postmodernism" actually no longer has a spiritual definition. It brings together all kinds of historical, cultural, aesthetic and visual art materials, including the affirmation of eclecticism and decorative beauty. Many postmodernist artists and designers are increasingly disappointed with the once popular modernist art and modernist design. For them, especially for their younger generation, the ideals of avantgarde art, which have been developed since the 1920s and 1930s, are now extremely limited. Today, the mass media have quickly transmitted cultural messages to all parts of the world at a high speed that could not have been imagined in the past. Consumer culture has undergone great changes in style as the market faces a new generation of young people.
