尺牍书法:从形制到艺术

【摘要】: 尺牍是古代士大夫文人之间交往的重要内容和必要手段,它综合反映着不同时期的社交礼仪,又凝结着书写者个人的审美创造。尺牍与礼制礼俗结合,是谓之书仪,书仪最终通过书写和作品书迹表现出来,是谓之书法形制。 本文以所见自简牍以来的尺牍书法遗迹图像为中心,结合相关的历史和艺术文献,用“二重证据法”对古代尺牍书迹中的书仪与形制,形制与艺术之间的动态关系进行了一次比较全面的考察。作者认为,书迹作为文献,它本身隐藏着较一般书仪更为鲜活的时代内容。对其形制的探讨,既可以解决尺牍作品中相关的文本问题,又可以触及尺牍书法的某些内在成因,还能丰富传统书仪和文书研究的内容;尺牍书法作为艺术,首先是形制赋予了它形式上的美感,完全脱离形制的艺术在尺牍书法中是不存在的。相较而言,书法形制要求体现“合理”和“尽善”,而艺术则强调“合式”与“尽美”,尽善尽美,是形制与艺术合目的性的不同要求,尺牍书法的发展正是在功能与艺术的矛盾互动中寻觅一种平衡,尺牍书法艺术是“理”与“式”的完美统一体。 形制与艺术之间的这种关系,体现着中国书法的文化特色,是我们理解古代尺牍书法乃至其它书法类型的一把钥匙。
[Abstract]:The official slips are the important content and necessary means of the communication between the ancient literati and literati, which comprehensively reflect the social etiquette of different periods and condense the personal aesthetic creation of the writers. The combination of the official slips and the etiquette and custom is called the book instrument, which is expressed by writing and writing, which is called calligraphy form. In this paper, based on the calligraphy relic images seen since the bamboo slips, and combining the relevant historical and artistic documents, this paper uses the "double evidence method" to analyze the calligraphy instruments and shapes in the ancient slips. The dynamic relationship between form and art is investigated comprehensively. The author thinks that as a document, the book itself conceals more vivid contents than the general book instrument. The discussion of its form can not only solve the text problems in the works, but also touch on some inherent causes of calligraphy, and enrich the contents of the traditional calligraphy instruments and documents. First, the form gives it a formal sense of beauty, completely divorced from the form of art in calligraphy is non-existent. In contrast, calligraphy requires "reasonableness" and "perfection", while art emphasizes "combination" and "perfection", which are different requirements of form and art. The development of calligraphic slips is to seek a balance in the contradictory interaction between function and art, and the calligraphy art is a perfect unity of "principle" and "style". This relationship between form and art embodies the cultural characteristics of Chinese calligraphy and is a key to our understanding of ancient calligraphy and even other calligraphy types.
