【摘要】：正解放前,沈尹默对于书法的研究多以碑刻善本题跋的形式出现,其中闪烁着他对书法遗迹的深层理解。此外,一九四三年,沈尹默还发表了只涉及对前人技法解释层面的《执笔五字法》。建国后一二十年间,沈尹默书法研究的重点发生了极大的变化,或关注书法的命运,或倾心书法的传承,或强调书法的功用。此时,本为比较纯粹的书法不再纯粹,本不成问题的问题成为问题,本为高雅的书法不再强调高雅。沈尹默试图把自己数十年来对书法的深入理解与二十世纪流行的各种社会文化思潮结合起来,解决当时书法存在的现实问题。如此这般,使得沈尹默的书法理论沾染上了各种"主义"的色彩,更甚至,各种"主义"竟然成为此时期沈尹默书法理论研究的逻辑起点。科学主义与执笔五字法科学主义是指"对科学知识和技术万能的一种信念"(《牛津英语词典》)。二十世纪的中国经历了崇尚
