符号学意义理论在英诗汉译中的应用

【摘要】：翻译的本质就是源语与目标语之间的意义对应转换，因而意义是翻译的核心所在。然而，已有的许多意义研究大多缺乏综合性与实用性。本文试将符号学意义理论应用于翻译学，尝试建立一套分析意义翻译中所发生的意义转换的理论框架。本文首先对现有翻译意义研究成果进行了简要回顾，指明仍需更加实用有效的意义分析理论来指导意义的翻译实践。之后本文阐述了现代符号学，特别是莫里斯的符号学意义理论，以确认符号学意义理论在意义的处理上全面有效，且在翻译实践中具有可行性。莫里斯将意义分为三类：指称意义、言内意义和语用意义。为证明该理论的有效性与可行性，本文列举英诗汉译实例，，论证了莫里斯的理论框架在意义转换中的应用。经过对大量微观层面英诗汉译实例的分析，本文发现，受到各种语言与非语言因素的影响，这三类意义在翻译过程中可能无法完全转换，但译者仍有多种技巧与方法补偿或妥善处理这些意义丢失。总之，符号学意义理论针对意义的翻译提供了一套比较全面的分析理论框架；对其进行深入研究探索兼具理论与实践意义。
[Abstract]:The essence of translation is the corresponding transformation of meaning between the source language and the target language, so meaning is the core of translation. Most of the existing research on meaning is short of comprehensiveness and practicability. This paper attempts to apply semiotics to translation and tries to establish a theoretical framework for the analysis of meaning transformation in meaning translation. This paper first briefly reviews the existing research achievements in translation meaning and points out that a more practical and effective meaning analysis theory is still needed to guide the translation practice of meaning. Then this paper expounds the modern semiotics. In particular, Maurice's semiotics theory of meaning confirms that the theory of semiotics is effective in the treatment of meaning and is feasible in translation practice. Morris divides meaning into three categories: referential meaning. In order to prove the validity and feasibility of the theory, this paper presents examples of translation of English poetry into Chinese. This paper demonstrates the application of Maurice's theoretical framework in meaning transformation. Through the analysis of a large number of examples of microcosmic translation of English poetry, this paper finds that it is influenced by various linguistic and non-linguistic factors. These three meanings may not be able to be completely converted in the translation process, but the translator still has a variety of skills and methods to compensate for or properly deal with the loss of these meanings. In a word, the semiotics theory of meaning provides a comprehensive theoretical framework for the translation of meaning, which has both theoretical and practical significance.
