从多元系统论看林语堂在《风声鹤唳》中对文化专有项的诠释

【摘要】：当前,跨文化交际已经成为常态,无论是在政府官方层面,亦或是在民间非政府层面。早在几十年前,文学巨匠林语堂已经为中西方的文化交流做出了卓越的贡献。作为游走于文化之间的人,林语堂通过他的三十多部以英文创作的叙述中国故事的小说向西方介绍了中国以及中国文化。之前关于林语堂英文作品的研究大都仅限于《京华烟云》,本文作者选取《风声鹤唳》,《京华烟云》的姊妹篇,作为研究对象文本。这部小说在西方也同样获得了巨大的成功,能够充分反应林语堂的英文写作哲学及技巧。因此,此文本的选择对于林语堂文学作品的研究是具有极强代表性的。以中国作为背景创作英文小说,作者可能面临的一个重大障碍就是附有极大文化信息的表达的转化,这其中就包括文化专有项的转化。文化专有项,顾名思义,为一个文化专有而对其他文化难以理解,而且每一个文化专有项都专门指向某一文化因素。因此,本研究将小说中的文化专有项以五种文化因素分类研究,以期挖掘林语堂对这些文化专有项的诠释。整个研究以多元系统论为理论背景,主要探讨了翻译文学是文学多元系统中的表现。本研究做了一项对等,即将林语堂的英文小说对等成为翻译文学。通过理论与文本的结合可以发现,受意识形态,权利关系,赞助出版人及其他因素的影响,小说《风声鹤唳》处于美国文学系统的边缘。因此,林语堂在他的创作中必须采取可接受的转化策略,而不是充分性的转化策略。也正是因为如此,对于大部分中国文化专有项的转化,林语堂都采取了意译的方法,而一些采取了直译或音译的转化都配以更多的解释。这些解释以及意译的使用使得小说更容易被西方读者接受,这也是小说除情节吸引人外另一个取得成功的原因。
[Abstract]:At present, cross cultural communication has become a normal state, either at the official level of the government, or at the non-governmental level. As early as a few decades ago, the literary giant Lin Yutang has made a remarkable contribution to the cultural exchanges between China and the West. As a man who wanders between cultures, Lin Yutang has passed his more than 30 narrative in English. The novels of the national story introduced China and Chinese culture to the West. Most of the previous studies on Lin Yutang's English works were limited to the JINGWAH cloud. The author selected the sister text of "jittery, JINGWAH, cloud >" as the object of the study. This novel has also achieved great success in the West, which can fully respond to the forest language. Tang's English writing philosophy and skills, therefore, the choice of this text is very representative for Lin Yutang's literary works.
A major obstacle to the creation of English novels in China is that the author may face a major obstacle to the transformation of the expression of great cultural information, which includes the transformation of cultural exclusive items. A cultural factor. Therefore, this study classifications of cultural items in the novel with five cultural factors in order to excavate Lin Yutang's interpretation of these cultural items.
The whole study takes the theory of multiple systems as the theoretical background, mainly discussing the expression of translation literature in a literary pluralistic system. This study has made a reciprocal translation of Lin Yutang's English novel equivalence into translation literature. Through the combination of theory and text, it can be found that ideology, rights relations, sponsorship of publishers and other factors can be found. The novel < jittery > is on the edge of the American literary system. Therefore, Lin Yutang must adopt an acceptable transformation strategy in his creation, not a full transformation strategy. It is precisely because of this, that Lin Yutang has adopted a free translation method for the transformation of most Chinese cultural items, and some of them have adopted literal translation or sound. These interpretations and the use of free translation make the novel more easily accepted by Western readers, which is also the reason for the success of the novel in addition to the plot.
