文学作品中的模糊语言及其翻译研究

【摘要】: 近年来,翻译研究的跨学科性已被译界普遍接受。逻辑学、心理学、社会学、人类学、语言学等学科不断被纳入翻译研究的学术范围。翻译美学,作为翻译学最新联姻的对象,正受到越来越多的学者与翻译研究者的关注。纵观中外翻译研究历史,翻译与美学之间有着深远的渊源。随着对翻译艺术性的要求越来越高,美学必然要以其成熟的理论依据及判断标准成为翻译研究不可或缺的理论及实践支持。 模糊性广泛存在于人类的生活中,它是语言的一个重要特征也是所有语言的一个共同特征。模糊语言是文学作品的重要载体。文学作品中模糊语言的使用可以使文学艺术穿越审美主体和审美客体,从而扩大艺术空间,获得审美情感。虽然模糊美是语言的共性,汉语英语皆享此美,但是他们在美学效果的表现方式上有很大的不同。季羡林先生曾经说过:“汉语的优点就在于它的模糊性”(季羡林,1996:3)。与之相反,英语是一种分析性的、逻辑性的语言,它喜确切。因此,我们非常有必要研究模糊语言在英汉两种语言之间的转换策略。国内外的许多学者已就语言的模糊性做了很多研究,但是他们将模糊语言与美学结合的还不够。虽然国内的许多学者发表不少文章研究模糊语言的美学价值,但是他们把过多的精力集中在诗歌语言的研究。另外,国内学者对模糊语言与翻译学关系的研究很有启发性,我们有必要进行更加深入的研究。有些学者谈到了模糊语言的翻译问题并提出了一些翻译策略(例如余富斌),但是他们在模糊语言比较方面做的还不够。 基于上述原因,本文作者试图从翻译美学角度对文学作品中的模糊语言及其翻译做一个尝试性的研究,包括翻译美学与模糊语言的关系,文学作品中模糊语言的美学价值与美学特点,英汉模糊语言对比研究以及英汉语言模糊美的翻译策略。 除了引言和结论以外,本文有四个章节构成。引言部分简明扼要地介绍了本文所涉及的主题的研究背景,本论文的目标,意义和结构。第一章是文献综述,作者简单回顾了国内外学者对模糊语言及其翻译的研究并总结了研究中存在的不足。第二章作者探索了翻译美学与文学作品中模糊语言的关系,并总结了文学作品中模糊语言的美学价值及美学特点。第三章作者对比了英汉文学语言中模糊美表现方式的异同。第四章作者分析了文学翻译中处理这些模糊语言的原则和具体策略,即保留模糊,将模糊具体化、清晰化,以及增加模糊。结尾部分对全文进行了简要概括,概述了作者的主要观点,同时指出了本研究的不足之处,并对将来的研究提出自己的建议。
[Abstract]:In recent years, the interdisciplinary nature of translation studies has been widely accepted by the translation community. Logic, psychology, sociology, anthropology, linguistics and other disciplines have been brought into the academic scope of translation studies. Translation aesthetics, as the latest marriage of translation studies, is attracting more and more attention from scholars and translation researchers. Throughout the history of translation studies at home and abroad, there is a profound origin between translation and aesthetics. With the increasing demand for the artistry of translation, aesthetics is bound to become an indispensable theoretical and practical support for translation studies with its mature theoretical basis and judgment criteria. Fuzziness exists widely in human life. It is an important feature of language and a common feature of all languages. Vague language is an important carrier of literary works. The use of fuzzy language in literary works can make literature and art pass through the aesthetic subject and object, thus expanding the artistic space and obtaining aesthetic emotion. Although the beauty of vagueness is the common character of language, Chinese and English all enjoy the beauty, but they differ greatly in the expression of aesthetic effect. Ji Xianlin once said: "the advantage of Chinese lies in its ambiguity" (Ji Xianlin, 1996: 3). On the contrary, English is an analytical, logical language that prefers certainty. Therefore, it is necessary to study the strategies of fuzzy language conversion between English and Chinese. Many scholars at home and abroad have done a lot of research on the fuzziness of language, but their combination of fuzzy language and aesthetics is not enough. Although many domestic scholars have published many articles to study the aesthetic value of vague language, they have focused too much on the study of poetic language. In addition, the research on the relationship between fuzzy language and translation is very enlightening, and we need to do more in-depth research. Some scholars have talked about the translation of vague languages and put forward some translation strategies (such as Yu Fubin), but they have not done enough in the comparison of fuzzy languages. For these reasons, the author attempts to make a tentative study of vague language in literary works and its translation from the perspective of translation aesthetics, including the relationship between translation aesthetics and fuzzy language. The aesthetic value and characteristics of vague language in literary works, the contrastive study of fuzzy language in English and Chinese, and the translation strategies of fuzzy beauty in English and Chinese. In addition to the introduction and conclusions, there are four chapters in this paper. The introduction briefly introduces the research background, objectives, significance and structure of this thesis. The first chapter is a literature review. The author briefly reviews the research of fuzzy language and its translation at home and abroad and summarizes the shortcomings of the study. The second chapter explores the relationship between translation aesthetics and fuzzy language in literary works and summarizes the aesthetic value and aesthetic characteristics of fuzzy language in literary works. In chapter three, the author contrasts the similarities and differences of vague beauty in English and Chinese literary languages. In Chapter 4, the author analyzes the principles and strategies of dealing with these vague languages in literary translation, namely, preserving fuzziness, concretizing fuzziness, making it clear, and adding fuzziness. At the end of the paper, the author summarizes the author's main points of view, points out the shortcomings of this study, and puts forward some suggestions for the future research.
