《大鼻子的故事》英译报告

【摘要】：文学翻译有别于非文学翻译。在文学翻译中，，译者不仅要忠实地传达原文内容，更要忠实地再现原文的“神韵”：写作风格和艺术意境等。如何实现文学翻译中的“神韵”一直以来都是翻译学者探讨的话题。本文作为一篇文学翻译报告，笔者在英译了茅盾先生的优秀文学作品《大鼻子的故事》之后，结合整个翻译过程和具体例子，以如何实现文学翻译中的“神韵”为切入点，归纳分析了整个翻译过程中五个方面的英译处理情况及翻译策略：细节描写、心理描写、反语、长难句以及文化特色词。最后得出结论：精准的选词、对细节的处理到位、对人物心理活动的揣摩精确、对原作作品风格和语言特色的把握得当和对文化特色词的翻译得体都是实现文学翻译中“神韵”的必备条件。
[Abstract]:Literary translation is different from non-literary translation. In literary translation, translators should not only faithfully convey the original content, but also faithfully reproduce the original verve: writing style and artistic conception. How to realize "charm" in literary translation has always been a topic discussed by translation scholars. As a literary translation report, after translating Mao Dun's excellent literary work "the Story of Big nose" into English, combining the whole translation process and concrete examples, the author takes how to realize the "charm" in literary translation as the starting point. This paper summarizes and analyzes five aspects of English translation processing and translation strategies in the whole translation process: detail description, psychological description, irony, long sentences and cultural words. At last, the conclusion is drawn: the precise choice of words, the proper handling of the details, the accurate estimation of the psychological activities of the characters, The proper understanding of the style and language features of the original works and the proper translation of cultural words are the necessary conditions for the realization of "verve" in literary translation.
