钱锺书翻译理论与实践研究

【摘要】: 钱锺书批判地继承中国传统文论和译论,广泛地吸收现代西学中的优秀成果,结合自己丰富的翻译实践,整合创新,提出卓然自成一家的翻译理论。遗憾的是,长期以来译界对其称引颇多,全面系统的阐发甚少;将之与中国传统联系较多,与西学关联却鲜有涉及。本文从不同层面梳理钱锺书的翻译理论,用相关的现代西学理论加以分析、解读,选取其翻译实例加以佐证,审视翻译在文化交流中的功用。第一章从钱锺书倡导的“译事之信,当包达、雅”入手,侧重考察他信息与美学并重的翻译效果,拈出其典雅文言的翻译风格。第二章从微观着眼,借助阐释学视角进入翻译的内部,说明翻译的过程是理解亦即阐释的过程,相应地,“误读”与“创造性叛逆”成为题中应有之义,关注钱锺书对可译性限度的处理,及其翻译实践中克服形式结构、惯用法、表达法和文化诸方面障碍的突破性尝试。第三章对集中体现钱锺书翻译思想的“化境”说进行阐发,分析译者的主体地位,其“稍通骑驿”的角色,通过“随心所欲不逾矩”的手段达致,以莎士比亚戏剧台词翻译为个案,论述其“法天、胜天、通天”的翻译艺术。第四章取宏观视野,关注翻译的外部,论述翻译在全球化语境下跨文化传通的功用,分不隔、打通和对话三个层面分析。全文以钱锺书翻译理论与实践的结合为经线,以他博采古今中西的学术路径为纬线,两相交织行文,既有细密的文本分析,又注重翻译在历史和文化语境中的定位,致力于汇通钱锺书翻译的内部研究与外部研究。钱锺书的翻译思想包含许多与当代新兴西学相契合的成分,反讽的是,他用典雅的汉语文言表达了西方后现代理论家极力标举的“新锐创见”,瓦解了西方中心主义的话语权力,他通过自身打通古今、中西与学科界限的努力跻身于中西对话的前沿并深入其内核。钱锺书的翻译理论与实践为当今全球化语境下跨文化传通和文化转型提供了颇具借鉴价值的思路。
[Abstract]:Qian Zhongshu critically inherits the traditional Chinese literary theory and translation theory, extensively absorbs the outstanding achievements in modern western studies, combines his rich translation practice, integrates innovation, and puts forward Zhuo Ran's own translation theory. Unfortunately, for a long time, the translation circle has been cited a lot, but it has little comprehensive and systematic explanation; it has more connection with the Chinese tradition, but seldom has the connection with the western science. This paper combs Qian Zhongshu's translation theory from different aspects, analyzes it with relevant modern western theories, interprets it, selects its translation examples to prove it, and examines the function of translation in cultural communication. The first chapter focuses on the translation effect of Qian Zhongshu's "letter of Translation, when Bao Da, Ya", focusing on his translation effect of both information and aesthetics, and points out the translation style of his elegant classical Chinese. In chapter two, from the microcosmic perspective and with the help of hermeneutics, it is explained that the process of translation is the process of understanding and interpretation. Accordingly, "misreading" and "creative treason" become the proper meaning in the subject. This paper focuses on Qian Zhongshu's treatment of the limit of translatability and his breakthrough attempts to overcome the obstacles of form structure idiom expression and culture in translation practice. In chapter three, the author analyzes the translator's subjective position and his role of "passing through the relay" through the means of "not exceeding the moment" as he wishes to do, by means of explaining the theory of "metaphysics", which embodies Qian Zhongshu's translation thoughts, and analyzes the translator's position as the subject. Taking Shakespeare's lines as a case study, this paper discusses his translation art of "Fa Tian, Tian and Tong Tian". Chapter four focuses on the external aspects of translation, and discusses the function of cross-cultural communication in the context of globalization, which is divided into three levels: communication, communication and dialogue. The full text takes Qian Zhongshu's translation theory and practice as the meridian line, takes his academic path of ancient and modern China and the West as the weft line, two intertwined writing, not only has the detailed text analysis, but also pays attention to the position of translation in the historical and cultural context. Dedicated to Huitong Qian Zhongshu translation of internal and external research. Qian Zhongshu's translation thought contains many elements that coincide with contemporary western studies. Ironically, he expresses the "new and creative ideas" advocated by western postmodern theorists in elegant Chinese classical Chinese. He broke down the discourse power of western centrism, and through his own understanding of the ancient and modern times, he entered into the front of the dialogue between China and the West and its core by the efforts of the boundary between China and the West and the discipline. Qian Zhongshu's translation theory and practice provide valuable ideas for cross-cultural communication and cultural transformation in the context of globalization.
