括号的英汉翻译-《菲济小镇1：新计划》翻译报告

【摘要】：《新计划》是现代小说《菲济小镇》的第一季，加拿大女作家Katina Ferguson的杰出代表作之一，于2011年出版。该小说主要讲述了一对生活在大城市的新婚夫妇，因为工作和照顾三个孩子，压力过重而几近崩溃的生活。他们的故事反应了在如今高速发展的社会中，年轻人承受着来自工作、家庭生活、经济等方面的巨大压力，他们时刻在奔跑，却永远也追赶不上内心的愿望，同时也诉说了年轻一代力不从心，彷徨迷茫，极力渴望改变生活现状的心理状态。该小说出版至今，还没有中文译本面世，笔者选取了其中的第一季进行翻译，并根据翻译过程中遇到的比较突出的问题作出相关的讨论和分析，即对于括号的英译汉翻译问题进行分类探究，旨在找出相应的翻译方法。 原文作者在写作过程中多处运用了括号，，笔者对此进行了细心探究。首先，笔者分别认真学习研究了括号在中英文的正确用法，然后，在此基础上对原文中所有的括号用法进行分类，分成五类。最后，思考探究在英译汉过程中该如何处理文中多处的括号，是该保留，还是删去，或者是转化成其他标点符号？笔者在比较括号在中英文中的不同用法的基础上，针对括号在原文中的不同用法，总结归纳了三种处理方法，其中思考的准则是译文是否符合汉语的行文标准。 本实践报告总共由四个部分组成：任务描述、过程描述、案例分析和总结。任务描述主要介绍了原文、原文作者和选择此文作为翻译材料的原因；过程描述主要介绍了译前准备、翻译过程中遇到的问题和解决方法以及译后的审校；案例分析部分则是通过具体例子，着重探讨分析如何处理括号的翻译，这也是本文的主旨所在。
[Abstract]:The New Plan is the first season of the modern novel, the Town of Fizi, and one of the outstanding masterpieces of Canadian female writer Katina Ferguson, published in 2011. The novel focuses on a newly married couple living in a big city, nearly collapsed by the stress of working and caring for three children. Their story reflects that in today's fast-growing society, young people are under great pressure from work, family life, economy, and so on. They are running all the time, but they can never catch up with their inner desires. At the same time, it also tells the young generation is powerless, confused, eager to change the psychological state of life. Since the publication of the novel, there has not been a Chinese translation. The author chooses the first season for translation, and makes relevant discussion and analysis according to the outstanding problems encountered in the translation process. In order to find out the corresponding translation methods, this paper makes a classification study on the translation of parentheses into English and Chinese. The author uses brackets in many parts of the writing process, and the author makes a careful inquiry into it. Firstly, the author studies the correct usage of parentheses in Chinese and English respectively, and then classifies all the parentheses in the original text into five categories. Finally, think about how to deal with the multiple parentheses in the English-Chinese translation process, whether to retain, delete, or convert to other punctuation marks? On the basis of comparing the different usage of parentheses in Chinese and English, the author summarizes three methods to deal with the different uses of parentheses in the original text, in which the criterion of thinking is whether the translation meets the standard of Chinese writing. This practice report consists of four parts: task description, process description, case analysis and summary. The task description mainly introduces the original text, the author of the original text and the reasons for choosing the text as the translation material, and the process description mainly introduces the preparation before translation, the problems encountered in the translation process and the solutions to the problems encountered in the translation process, as well as the revision after translation. The part of case analysis focuses on the analysis of how to deal with the translation of parentheses through specific examples, which is also the main point of this paper.
